Speechless...you felt like you were in their front room, we were offered a traditional meal of t he taverna and well the 1st course just kept coming, no menu was offered and there was a small language barrier but we are very 'when in Rome' type of people which for some may not suit but we loved it! We had local wine, and locals came to the restaurant about 90 mins after us and ate what we had so truly authentic. For seconds we had a traditional beef dish, which was beef with rocket and shaved cheese...it was amazing to taste. When we asked for the bill we then got what I believe was a fig tart, we declined on the coffee in the hope of sleeping that night. The staff were so friendly and the entire meal and a litre of wine was â¬28.00!! Amazing value, you need to book only 7 tables. It's rustic and traditional. Italy at it's best.

Direi che una location così è difficile trovarla . Con gli splendidi ulivi che ti fanno compagnia con suggestiva imponenza. Servizio rapido e gentile da un cameriere capace .Piatti e pizza bene curati e abbondanti. L'unica pecca è stato una frittura di pesce con olio ( addimmurato) come si dice da queste parti. Attenzione a i dettagli! ( consiglio). Lo consiglierei vivamente a chi vuol fare una bella figura alla sua dolce metà . Il romanticismo ne farà da padrone.

Il posto non è purtroppo facilmente raggiungibile ma vale la pena andarci perchè si mangia davvero molto bene, i piatti sono gustosi e abbondanti. Tradizione e innovazione si fondono insieme in un ambiente molto gradevole.

Penso sia uno dei migliori ristoranti della zona: pesce fresco, bel menù, piatti abbondanti, ottimi prezzi, bella location, struttura nuova e parcheggio internoMa si perdono nel servizio: non prendono ordinazioni con primi piatti diversi, ossia obbligano le persone dell'intero tavolo a prendere lo stesso primo o al massimo due scelte perché la cucina non sa gestire ordinazioni diverse (quindi o si hanno gli stessi gusti oppure niente primo), bagni senza una chiave o un minimo di serratura, camerieri non gentili (a parte due ragazzi davvero bravi, infatti dopo averli conosciuti cercavamo sempre loro)Lo consiglio...Ma armatevi di pazienza

Il proprietario molto gentile, porzioni piccole ma ci hanno dato il bis, menu fisso con antipasto, primo secondo , contorno, dolce , frutta e caffe acqua e vino e ci hanno portato pure due bottiglia una di limoncello e una di liquore al mirtillo, potevamo berne quanto ne volevano. Il cibo era era buono e di ottima qualità ,le patate arrosto come la carne, la pasta buonissime e cucinate bene ,buone anche le olive nell'antipasto, da ritornarci. In ultimo il bagno era pulitissimo , non sempre è cosi' in tutti i ristoranti/agriturismo.

We visited Castelfiaba Santa Severina fantastic views from the castle on our journey up the mountain. Local people are very friendly and helpful. Lunch was to be served at La Locanda Del Re, what a delight this was the best Italian food I have ever tasted I ate everything that was put down in front of me I donât normally eat PIZZA but I did eat the pizza from this restaurant and i also ate my partners it was mouthwatering and delicious the pasta, local meats, fruit, and cakes are every discerning food lovers dream.A beautiful Warm & friendly family.Traditional Italian restaurant.Two of the best Chefs I have ever met.

One of the most beautiful, charming and relaxing places in the south of Italy I have ever been. Surrounded by fruit trees I enjoyed real Italian food with typical local products. On top of that we had the opportunity to learn directly from the chef how to make real pasta! Absolutely a "must try" experience if you are visiting Calabria.
