Well both first and last to bookend our week's stay.A really lovely restaurant where we had all our breakfasts on our visit four years ago.Pepe, owner and maitre'd runs a wonderful show. Much of the food and drink is sourced locally. Fabulous pasta dishes, fine meats and delicious desserts. We were staying at the wonderful Podere Scarabattoli in nearby Signa and decided to dine at the Tramway based on Tripadvisor recommendations. As has been observed, the address as provided, is on the wrong side of the road and not directly across, but look at the other side of the road and the Tramway is easy to find. The entrance is through the front shop. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was filling quickly, and the waiter spoke sufficiently English to allow good communication. We shared an antipasto of salami and cheese, and I had a pappardelle con cinghiale (wild boar) followed by a steak Florentine and my wife the lamb. The portions were extremely large, the food very good, and the Florentine cooked to perfection, all washed down with a very reasonable house wine. If you want good value, and typical Tuscan food, then this is the place for you, and is close to the Villa Medici in Poggio a Caiano.

After our 3rd dinner here, we can now say that this is the best restaurant we have done in Italy. Not only is the cuisine succulent with high quality local ingredients, also the service is as personal as it comes. Lionel, Jean-paolo, Elvis and the other staff do a great job and everything with a personal smile.

We were received by a very friendly waiter who made place for us even though fully booked. We had chicken liver pate, stuffed zucchini, braised veal cutlets and beef sirloin strips. Everything was prepared very well, tasted wonderfully and we came away stuffed and well satisfied. Payment was a little strange as I had to go to the back of the restaurant where the owner made a show of counting my money in public, which I found a bit weird. Food and service were first class though!

We stayed in 2011 at the Hotel in Carmignano for two nightsa, and were recommended to eat dinner here.It was probably the best dinner we had in Italy so far, and we have been around in the country :-)It was authentic italian country meal, no fancy stuff, no unnecessary stuff on the plate.We had antipasta, rabbit and ice bottle of wine, and it was less than 45 euro for two.But, the best part is simply how well prepared the food was, so tender, so tasty it was like being sent straight to heaven, I can only recommand this restaurant if you ever pass Carmignano or if you are in Firenze...do yourself the honor and go here, you wont regret.We are coming back, that is for sure.

Excellent location, next to the town square. We visited twice and tried the black rice with chicken and all three variations of the sirloin beef cuts. We were happy every time with the food as well as the friendly staff. Tiramisu was a bit of a mistake, too sugary. Prices manageable, not cheap, not stupendous. Nice place.

Lovely setting for a most delicious dinner. Classic and yet inventive Tuscan cuisine featuring local products and wines. Attentive knowledgable staff who take wonderful care of you without being obtrusive. We totally enjoyed our meal.

As my wife and I walked through a small antique market in Carmignano, we noticed the happy clients having lunch at this fine osteria. We decided to follow the "crowd" and we were not disappointed. We were welcomed and promised a table shortly even though we did not have reservations. I enjoyed a mushroom risotto primi and my wife enjoyed her zucchini soup. She also enjoyed her fried pollo main course and I really liked my bean and ragu. It was a delightful meal served in a warm, welcoming family restaurant. I complimented Francesco, the owner, on his fine restaurant as I paid our bill, he said it all when he replied, "It's a family business."We enjoyed Osteria Su Oe 'i' Canto and plan to return with friends.

We enjoyed a lovely late summer dinner on the patio, with excellent food and wine. Although the menu was in Italian our waiter was able to help sufficiently with translations, and service was very professional. We had to try the regional specialty, bistecca alla Fiorentina, which is a huge portion for two (we took home leftovers). Prepared very rare, it was delicious although I usually prefer a leaner cut.
