Andre was very helpful and was a unique very very good English speaker. It was a pleasant reprieve to not have to worry about speaking Portuguese. I´ve been to this same restaurant for about 5 times and each time their service just got worse and worse. I noticed that they are using more technology (tablet to order) and less staff which is good for the company (less trouble dealing with human resources matters). However, it took about an hour to realize that my order did not go through. Everything was very slow...very slow. In fact, they were more concerned about their theme (mexican dress, tequila guy, etc), but as a customer i don´t really give a damn about that, all i want is a good food and nice atmosphere. Even when we asked for the check, it took ages for the waiter to get back to us. I am really disappointed with their declining service. May be the owner should invest less on decoration (don´t get me wrong, they look fantastic, but enough already) and invest more on training their staff to be more efficient, quick and professional.Hello Adrianus2476!We are sorry that your experience at our house has not been as expected. This restaurant is in the Favelas, and a little challenging to get to as there is no direct route where you could just drive there. The taxi takes you up to a point, and then you have to cut through other dwellings, and go up slopes and stairs, and although the people we stopped to ask for directions were very helpful, unless you understand Portuguese, or have a walking map it may give you a felling of being lost. I think you will eventually find your way there, like we did and it will be well worth the experience. I have attached a picture of a landmark, where you will need to get off and start walking. It is the Babilonia police station. The music was good, dancing was superb, the food was delicious, and the night time view of Copacabana was spectacular. Look out for the lit-up Christ the Redeemer statue in the distance. There is a video of the music and dancing. Search YT video # Wr8htm4rzzw if you need to brush up on your moves before you visit. Enjoy!

I was staying at the hotel and went for a sweet treat after dinner somewhere else. The restaurant is very elegant and intimate. Nice for a quiet dinner. Lovely lighting and decor. Friendly staff as is the whole hotel. Went for the corn cake which I never had before with some marmalade sauce and ice cream. This was to die for. Heaven. The three worked well together. The corn cake was slightly warm. Excellent presentation. Came out quickly but was fresh. My only sadness it was so small. Could have eaten more. Not cheap as you can imagine but nice for a treat. Limited but sufficient menu. Main negative was that I wanted coffee with it but the machine had broken and I did not really want tea. These things happen. Service was good. Would recommend. Clean and well kept.
