Suzhou is a major city on the lower Yangtze known for its canals, bridges, pagodas, and beautiful gardens. These gardens were built and owned by wealthy families and emperors hundreds of years ago, and make for a pleasant place to wander during nice weather. Suzhou is also a major center for silk production and manufacturing, and a tour of a silk factory here provides an interesting and educational glimpse of this Chinese textile industry. Suzhou is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

25 Draft beers on tap, good food.
They've got a good selection, and being on top of a mall they both don't close early and aren't subject to the sounds of traffic that a storefront might otherwise have issues with. They've found a way to recreate the atmosphere from the other side of town, I hope this location does well in the future.

The Bookworm Suzhou is at once café, bookstore, restaurant, library, bar, comedy club, and live music venue; truly a central cultural hub of the great city of Suzhou, and one of the most classic expat-operated venues in town.Located just off the famous Sh
We were looking for some Western food and saw this place on TripAdvisor. Good deal on beer and a decent margarita pizza. Hit the spot! We'll come back.

Velluto is situated in Phase 4 of the vast Li Gong Di entertainment area, which features dozens of eateries. However, it really stands out, not only because it is one of the few restaurants to offer non-Chinese cuisine, but also because the quality of its cooking and the service are consistently superb. The menu doesn't change much - there are no daily specials, for example. However, they have put together an interesting selection of modern Italian dishes along with some classics. As I dine here often relatively often, I have tried most of what's on offer and it's generally delicious. My only quibble would be that some of the desserts are not up to the standard of the rest of the menu. The panna cotta, for example, is very solid - I think they use too much gelatine.Service is invariably excellent.
Located on the first floor of Hotel Soul, Bar Soul brings a unique blend of retro and industrial elements. Every minute detail exudes an edgy, urban industrial chic feel from the old mottled concrete walls, the bold rustic wooden furnishings; to the wroug
There aren't many bars in Suzhou, so this place - attached to the Hotel Soul two doors along the street, one of the best mid-priced hotels in the city centre - could be a very valuable addition to the area's nightlife offerings. But its stark decor is severely uninviting, the prices are off-puttingly high, and the staff are terminally bored, inattentive (often, indeed, they disappear altogether for long periods).Despite having a large captive clientele available in the guests of its busy parent hotel, it is almost invariably deserted - which is a telling measure of how charmless it is. You'd think the small karaoke stage might attract some local customers, at least; but it never seems to.Dear Mr. /Mrs Giles WThank you for staying with us and taking your valuable time to share your great experiences. Ok, you can see from my previous reviews that time to time I come here as I like their pizza. I mean REAL pizza Naples style. Whatever. Today I received a message advertising a chefâs special menu and, since I was nearby for business purposes, I decided to stop for dinner. I ordered a âcalzoneâ pizza filled with smoked provola cheese and escarole sautéed with olives and capers (see pictures) and......... simply SUPERB!No kidding guys, come and try, itâs somehow an experience that you have to do in the life at least once. Well, at least it met my taste, which doesnât necessarily mean that you will like it as well, but to me it was very good. And even if you do not like the ingredients of that pizza, you can always find something else to delight your palate. For sure the kitchen here will leave you with a good memory. Well done chef Carmine!Ah, something that I was going to forget to mention........ Apart from the commercial famous beer, since a while they started to have on bottles and on tap an excellent artisanal Italian beer. Itâs name is Viola and I like it very much. If you are a beer lover like me, It is worth a try.

Alto Vino offers great italian dishes with the best italian ingredients. That is all what you want form an Italian restaurant, right? But Alto Vino offers you a great atmosphere, interesting wines, a unique interaction with Stefano, the chef, who may tell you some of his secret tricks, an elegant dining room and great trained team. There is more... great oven to cook pizzas.A trick: the pasta with seafood ragout.
