We arrived in Squinzano for lunch just when everything was shut down for Siesta (this happened many times during our trip)! Although the restaurant was clearly not open, they welcomed us and brought tasty food even though we were the only ones there! We returned a few days later for dinner. Wow! The owner greeted us like old friends! Tony (Salvatore) is a wonderful man with very interesting stories. A proud father (his son is the chef) and a terrific host. The food was so delicious that we returned one more time before our travels took us elsewhere. True Italian food and hospitality! Grazie Tony!

It is my second time here, the food is just fantastic, the prices are low considering the great quality of the food and the service, not to mention the wonderful wine list, mostly Bio wines. I live in Lecce, but will move to Campi Salentina soon, I could not be more happy. I will be here every night. Thank you Piccola Osteria, you are incredible. See you soon.

cosy and warm atmosphere in this risto-pub where the first priority is Food Quality. Food like chicken nuggets, chips, s served in typical metal buckets. Tapas made by typical Puglia products were so tasty and fresh. We had also gourmet pizza and we wanted to try also ribs but.. too much for one night dinner only. For sure we will come back. Beers are well selected and correctly proposed for all kind of food you choose. Courtesy and quick service is another gain point. absolutely recommended.

We were sent here on our first night of our holiday. It was just what we wanted - friendly, authentic food, variety, cheap! We were welcomed by the daughter of the family who speaks English and was excited to practice her skills with us. She talked us through the menu and we ordered pasta, mixed grilled seafood and a generous salad. We have been back since and are going back tonight for a pizza by the metre! Friendly atmosphere, good wine, great food and a local presence which is nice as we don't like to be in the tourist hotspots.

Advisable to get reservations for Sunday lunch (only day of the week lunch is served). Clean, nice looking restaurant, with good service; however, a little noisy once it filled up. The restaurant serves meat and seafood. We all happened to have meat today: husband really enjoyed the mixed grill, my tagliata with arugola and parmigiano was very tender and not overcooked, and our friend enjoyed the entrecote. The frittini were good and not at all greasy. Other diners had seafood which looked very good--will try the next time we go. Also plan to go some evening for pizza. The restaurant does not take credit card, so make sure you have cash!

We ate at this restaurant at lunch time. It was nice for the owner to open only for us on a Sunday ( booked ahead of time) Food is definitely genuine and home made. Price/Quality has an acceptable ratio. All appetizers were delicious. First dishes were acceptable and second dishes were ok. I suggest appetizers only and eventually add on a second dish is you still have space. Service can improve definitely. We arrived in Lecce and where advised by the hotel that we didnât need to book a restaurant. How wrong was she! We eventually arrived by chance at this restaurant. It was very very good. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. The food was excellent also. Highly recommended by
