Shymkent (Kazakh: Shymkent, شىمكەنت, known until 1993 as Chimkent (Uzbek: Чимкент, چىمكېنت; Russian: Чимкент, Čimkent), is the capital city of South Kazakhstan Region, the most densely populated region in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is the third most populous city in Kazakhstan behind Almaty and Astana with an estimated population of 669,326 in 2015. A major railroad junction on the Turkestan-Siberia Railway, the city is also a notable cultural centre, with an international airport. Shymkent is situated 690 kilometres (430 mi) west of Almaty and 120 kilometres (75 mi) to the north of Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Seit Neuestem gibt es zwei Café Korizza in Shymkent. Beide sind zu empfehlen. Der Kaffee ist sehr gut. Es gibt sehr feinen Cheesecake. Essen kann man aber auch Burger und vieles andere. Die Einrichtung ist cool und gemütlich. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Als etwas nachteilig erweist sich, dass das Café nicht rauchfrei und der Abzug nicht genügend effektiv ist.

I popped into here on my last day (27th October 2018) before returning to the UK. I had awkward parcels and I just wanted somewhere quiet to sort myself and my remaining tengi over a nice coffee and cake.And that's what I got (as well as a very friendly and helpful assistant)Colin (Whitehead)

Extremely bad service. There were seven of us and the food was served at different times. One dish that no one had ordered was brought out three times. Food overall was pretty decent with good sized portions. It was nice to sit outside in the patio area. Good job we had one Kazakh person in our group who ensured we eventually got what we had order, but even she had a struggle to get us served with our orders.

Great foods to have at prices any westerner would pay at a nice restaurant, but to locals it is considered way too expensive and not worth it. Seafood finds in the city are uncommon but can be found at mozzarella. Very comfortable and excellent service. Real training for the serversOne of the best in town.

We enjoyed a meal at Mozzarella with friends last August when we were in Shymkent. Nice Italian dishes, fine service, great relaxing atmosphere and the food was all very good. Worthwhile to dine here, no complaints from us at all.

This place is inside the Rixos hotel, managed by them. Unfortunately, the level of service in the hotel is far from perfect so far..On the day visited we where surrounded by a strange group of visitors, celebrating their special event, but we had a feeling we do not deserve any attention therefore and where not taken care of properly
