Spaghettino Ristorante Italiano

We had our last dinner here before heading home from vacation. It is a hidden gem and a must when dining on Puerto Morales. The pasta is homemade and amazing! We had the bruschetta to start so fresh and light. The tomatoes had so much flavour. We each had something different so we could share. The house specialty Genovese lasagna which was out of this world, sombrero pasta with mushrooms and blue cheese was excellent, fettuccine with bacon and mushrooms again amazing and for a fresh light pasta try with tomato-sauce. All was the best! Tiramisu again fantastic. The service is perfect. My husband went to the kitchen to see the chef and thanked them for a wonderful meal.

We ate at I Wanna pizza last night ordering the Hannibal and Lola. They were sooooooo good. Exceeded my expectations. We are thin crust wood fired pizza lovers and these pizzas were top 10 quality. The red wine and beer were inexpensive and we had an entire pizza to take home as leftovers. You have to go here when in puerto morelos.

Arezzo Restaurant

Reviewed By ninabeexoxo

This was our second time eating at Arezzo while staying at the Fives Azul resort. It does require a reservation, which we had the first time we ate there. However, we had planned to eat at another restaurant on the resort for our anniversary dinner, The Brasserie. It does not require reservations, and we just got dressed and headed over there around 8:15, only to discover it was closed for renovations, and clearly had been for some time (like, weeks). It was highlighted during check in as an available restaurant option, and since it’s tucked away on an upper floor near the lobby, we’d never had a chance to walk by it to see that it was closed. So here we are, dressed up for our anniversary and we open the restaurant door to construction workers, the sounds of drilling and jackhammering, and clouds of dust (yes, at 8:15 pm!). Ok, plan B. We decided to head down to Sea Olive, which is at the opposite end of the resort by the beach and also doesn’t require reservations. We headed to the front lobby to catch a shuttle cart, which came about 10 min later, and got to Sea Olive (which is closed on Thursdays, but this is a Tuesday evening) around 8:30. To find it completely deserted. No staff, nothing, and the posted hours say it doesn’t close until 10 pm. And the shuttle has, of course, already left. At this point my husband is hot and irritated, and my feet in my heels aren’t interested in too much more wandering around - and we are HUNGRY. So I suggested that we head upstairs from Sea Olive and see if Arezzo can possibly squeeze us in without a reservation. I wasn’t optimistic because I’d seen people who’d tried that tactic earlier in the week be turned away. When we came in the door we were very graciously greeted by the two hostesses, one of which was Alexandra. When we explained the evening we’d had so far and that it was our anniversary dinner, they were really wonderful and understanding, and found us a table right away. And it was busy in there (probably because everything else was closed!). Our waiter Saul provided excellent service and good recommendations on desserts, as well as bringing us two Kir Royales for us to toast. And the chef sent out a beautifully decorated dessert plate (pic attached). Food wise, I highly recommend the wild mushroom and truffle risotto, the flavor was out of this world and it was perfectly cooked. The staff at Arezzo really went out of their way to make our night special. Thank you!

This was my families 4th year in a row to Playa Del Carmen where we eat lunch at Coco's a few times during each visit. It's a quaint little place situated off the beach, which is perfect for a nice quiet lunch. You are always greeted with a smile and feel instantly welcome. This year, we had Rana as our server for all 3 of our visits. He was very friendly and we enjoyed talking to him. The food and drink is top notch. We always start with either a mojito or the Silvia Margarita. Both are crafted with the freshest ingredients and are delicious. This year, we went back to the reliable coconut shrimp, which is crispy and cooked perfectly. We also tried the spicy garlic shrimp, which was amazing. Served with bread, so nice to dip in the spicy sauce. Entrees, we always get the Mariner pizza (shrimp & mushrooms) since it's always spot on very enjoyable. This year, tried the fresh grilled octopus that was nicely crispy from the grill, but also very tender that it almost melted in your mouth. I've yet to have a bad meal here. If you are in Playa Del Carmen and looking for a place with great food and even better staff, Coco's is the place to go. We'll be back next year for sure.Thank you so much! We really appreciate your review, we are so happy to hear that you enjoy our food! We hope to see you again on your next trip!René will be glad to hear that you appreciate his service! Greetings from the Coco's Cabañas tema!
