If you want to taste real authentic fresh fish in Pescara, cooked in a simple and classical local way, you need to come here. There is no menu. You will be offered a selection of fish appetizers of the day and if these won-t be enough you can add a first or a second dish. A first one will be past with seafood sauces: only 2 types of pasta are offered, spaghetti or "maniche" (big format pasta with a hole that nicely collects sauce). The second dishes are usually fried seafood with small fishes or fish in oven with potatoes. The restaurant relies on the supplies of the fresh fish of the day. It is a family-run small restaurant and the owner is a fisherman's child while his wife runs the kitchen and his daughter serves the tables. The tastes are simple and genuine and the place will introduce you to what classical fish osteria offers in Pescara region. Very positive experience, with a roughly 50 euro per person with wine. Check out on the desserts of the day, all freshly cooked here.

I went out with family to celebrate a nice awaiting reunion, and the place it self surrounded of characteristic local deco and vibe gave us a memorabile expirience.Full set of hot and cold starter are already enough to enjoy as full meal, nice selection of cold cut meat and cheeses with other traditional local recepies, fresh pasta as ravioli or chitarrina are a must to try.......they are localy produced and as per fruit and vegetable quality, they give an amazing touch of authenticity!!!!Obviously the Arrosticini are the best to try for me....I just need to advice to book in advance and request the liver Arrosticini which are not easy to find and they are really to die for.....Congratulations Carlo to you and your team.We will see again on my next trip to Pescara

The restaurant has a perfect location, being close to the city's main square, Piazza Salotto. The location must be the key to its top ranking, as many visitors pass here and review. The service is excellent. The dishes are expensive, not original and not abundant. I found them overpriced for what they were like. We had starters and first or second dishes. The classic pasta with mussels was bland which is really upsetting when you pay higher than average for it. Grilled fish fillets were nice, but nothing more and the portion was tiny. The dishes were all decorated with blue stripes that made us wonder what that was. Overall: average, but good food, overpriced, not a memorable gastronomic experience.

Diavolo Aqua Santa, a wonderful view of the city and valley below. There were a few tables for couples as most of the restaurant was given over to an 18th birthday celebration. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He was born in New York but moved back to Italy with his Italian parents when he was nine years old. We shared a first course of pasta and a main course of Argentine beef tagliata, some french fried potatoes, and a rich chocolate torte. Of course we accompanied this with a nice bottle of the local red wine. We watched the young Italian couples courting and the family gathering of about 40 persons enjoying themselves and each other’s company. highly recommended.

Our first meal in Pescara, not far from our hotel on a quiet street. Nondescript exterior, charming interior, brick arched ceilings. White tablecloths. We had still water, the house wine --reasonable and quite acceptable dry red--small side salad. A basket of very nice assorted breads with olive oil. My husband ordered the baccalà with carmelized onions, mushrooms and potatoes. It came with a lovely fresh salad of greens, radicchio, shaved fennel, lightly dressed. I had chitarrina, homemade spaghetti with mushrooms and truffles. Dessert il budino di Domenico--flan/custard with cinnamon.

This place restored our faith in the ability of Abruzzi to cook fish. Choice of pesce crudo included oysters, smoked salmon, tuna Tatar, marinated anchovies and shrimp. Grilled pesce spada was fresh and not a least bit dry, paccheri with crab and shrimps were good and spaghetti frutti di mare even better, with perfect dose of garlic, parsley and laurel leaf. Very good white from Chieti. Friendly, attentive service, prices more than reasonable. Definitely we’ll go back.

We came here after reading reviews and it was such a perfect choice. For local produce, food and wine from the region we couldn't have found a better place. The staff were welcoming, they explained the menu fully in English to us and the food and wine choices just delicious. Very reasonable prices too. If you're looking for a good place to eat, enjoyed by the locals too... choose here. Utterly fantastic and thoroughly recommended.

A joy to eat such beautifully prepared food, all super fresh and very reasonably priced. Fantastic array of choices. Very friendly service and full of locals grabbing lunch too. Enjoyed the radicchio salad, the octopus and potato salad, and the stuffed aubergine. Cakes to die for, we opted for an apple sponge to go with our coffee. 30 Euro for a bloomin good (but sadly, booze-free) lunch!Thank you so much!! p.s. We have also typical liquors!!
