My friends and I visited Lo Zero for a dinner in our first night in Tuscany. It was an unexpected fine dining experience. The chef makes everything by hand: the bread, the pasta. Everything was fresh, local, and delicious. Really a great experience. We went with a baby, so we had to head out at 11pm (after 3 hours) so we missed out on their dessert and grappa, but I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a reasonably priced dining experience with fresh local food. The staff was welcoming and sweet; I will definitely make a point to come back here next time Iâm in Tuscany.

The food is simply amazing. Everything we had tried very delicious and presentation of each dish is fantastic. Portions are small, but after 7 of them (plus 2 more from the chef) you feel more than satisfied. The staff is nice, very knowledgeable, good English. Wine list is super as well, and they have very good wines available from about 100 Euro per bottle, to a few thousands. The night before we had good dinner at Enoteca Pinchiorri, dinner is good as well, but you canât find any bottle of wine cheaper than 300 euro. Over all we enjoyed food at Arnolfo more than at Enoteca Pinchiorri. Very well deserved Michelin stars. What an amazing afternoon ! Restaurant staff are exceptional. Courteous, polite and knowledgable. The service was immaculate.We went for the 5 course tasting menu with paired wines. All courses seemed to have a strong emphasis on seasonal and local produce. All perfectly balanced and creative, each and every course delicious. The homemade bread the best Iâve ever tasted. We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful oasis in San Gimignano..Highly recommend making a trip to this restaurant. Truly wonderful food. Many thanks for a memorable afternoon.

We had the entire restaurant for ourselves - what a treat. Hotel has closed for the winter and it was a Wednesday which explains our fortune. Let me start with best part; the team of servers, sommelier and cooks. They were fantastic, friendly, warm, professional, educational and detail oriented. They were there as needed but not noticed at the same time. The tasting menu with wine pairing was a magnificent treat. Allowing yourself to be guided by true artist down a flavor experience can be risky but when done superbly as it was last night, it makes for an extraordinary memory. Extra special when shared with your lovely spouse. On our next trip to San Gimignano we will stay at the hotel to receive the total immersion. Spectacular view of Tuscany. We had a great time learning how to make pasta. Sarah was an awesome host, everyone was helpful during the pasta-making class. The food was delicious. We have the great opportunity to travel quite a bit â this just jumped to our number one culinary/ dining experience. We were staying in Florence and took a brief car trip south to tour the area. Itâs off the beaten path but google maps got us there. The Inn fits right into a picture postcard. The service is very friendly and attentive. The food is just EXCEPTIONAL. The chef (Guido) can over to our table and he mirrors the engaging atmosphere of the Inn We were 2 couples and we all had different dishes - all were great. If youâre lucky enough to get a reservation here(since they only have 4 tables) do not think twice. The couple running the restaurant are masters of the craft with a true passion shown in the final product. Every dish is phenomenal but their tasting menu allows you to taste many different dishes while pairing it with different wines. A must visit if youâre in the area and if not you should still try to reroute your trip. The meal is supposed to be enjoyed so donât be in a rush(itâs simply rude with them) and donât expect pizza or pasta.

We ordered the chicken with truffle from the main menu (page open, pointed, used my poor Italian). The waiter asked if we wanted white or black (which we took to mean an option with that dish) , we shrugged, and said white.It wasn't until our bill came that we realised white dish is twice the price. For those who know truffles I'm sure that's obvious, but there was no warning or redirection to the separate truffle special menu.When we raised this we were simply told "I asked if you wanted black or white", and that was the end of the conversation. I can't really fault the food, but I think a more professional host would mention when they're taking you off main menu, or show some appreciation for the fact you clearly shrugged when asked to make the choice in the first place.Shame, walked away from a nice dinner frustrated and annoyed rather than planning to return. We stayed one night in the area and chose to go to this spectacular place and we are so glad that we did! The service was absolutely tremendous and the pasta was one of the best I have ever tasted. Fantastic local wine and cannot wait to return! We wish we were staying longer so we could go again. Highly recommended for excellent food, wine and service!
