I was in Salemi visiting family and ended up staying in Gibellina for 6 nights and while there, ended up eating supper at the La Spiga D'Oro Ristorante-Pizzeria for 4 of those 6 nights. Needless to say I got to try many of the items on the menu but by far my favorite was their grilled Calamari...... I ended up ordering it twice........Well worth eating there if you are in the Salemi/Gibellina area.BR,Dr. PDG, Jakarta, Indonesia

Sabato sera con amici, prendiamo antipasto rustico, pizza e carne alla brace. Attendiamo tanto, troppo tempo prima che arrivi l'antipasto che poi si rivela di scarsissima qualità : un tagliere di salumi e formaggi scadenti, mortadella industriale, non mozzarella ma formaggio a pasta filata (il classico panetto per pizza), quantità irrisorie ( abbiamo ordinato 2 antipasti da dividere in 4 ma non sarebbe stato sufficiente nemmeno per 2). La carne alla brace è risultata stopposa. La pizza invece era buonissima, alta e soffice, cotta a puntino e non salata. Il servizio buono anche se nei dettagli insufficiente. Ci è stato portato il sale rosa a grani grossi in una ciotola con il cucchiaino; ovviamente era inutilizzabile senza il contenitore macina sale. Voto 3 solo per la pizza ed il servizio al tavolo, altrimenti avrei dato 1.
