We cannot recommend highly enough the restaurant and the accommodation, without a doubt this was one of the best meals we have ever had, the care and attention to the food, ingredients, and preparation, the explanations and suggestions for good wines the fantastic choices and amazing combinations. On top of that, you have breathtaking views. It's really worth booking accommodation so there are no worries about indulging. The perfect hosts make you feel at home and are incredibly passionate about good food. Its also the perfect base for exploring the region, close to Barolo and some beautiful little Italian towns. Don't miss coming here.

This village restaurant serves only local produces of outstanding quality. Maurizio is a world class chef who decided to cook simple tasty food for locals. His menu a limited, but very well executed selection. Pasta with baby leeks an pork is fabulous, great primi in general, wonderful cheeses and great desserts. The ine list has only the best Piemonte producers. Great service from Sbrina and her team.

We were at a beautiful wedding here a few days ago and what a fantastic setting it was. The ceremony was outside under the trellis surrounded by baskets of grapes. The food was exquisite - all of the 11 dishes - and the location was absolutely stunning. Tx

We came here for our annual "bollito misto" dinner in Carrù and we had a good time with good food and great wine - thanks to the restaurant sommelier for his great advice and treatment.Fact is that the main course was a bit dry by the time it was served in our plates and the 6 sauces were a bit lame compared to other local restaurants we had been to. Steak tartare was really good though.

Had an outstanding dinner here last evening. What a change. Beer instead of wine with each course. We had the tasting menu. Everything was outstanding & a different beer served with each course, including a beer with dessert. The dessert beer tasted very similar to a Passito. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a change of pace for Piedmont.Thank you very much!Buona birra!!

we arrived on a busy Sunday lunch without a booking and the restaurant was booked out. I noticed a small table in the kitchen and asked if we could eat there. The owner said her husband was about to have his lunch there and could we return in half an hour. It was pouring with rain and we were literally driving thru Carru. The lovely lady then said her husband could eat later and we could have the table. We were then seated in the kitchen at the best table of the house. The food was all amazing! The fritto misto Piedmontese was light and cooked to perfection. The pastas were all home made and delicate with perfectly matched sauces. The bolitto misto was incredibly good. Really delicious and such an experience for my partner who had never heard of it or eaten it before. The staff couldn't have been nicer and we were just made to feel so at home and welcome. It was such a wonderful experience. Grazie Mille tutti!!!

The atmosphere is very nice and warm and they have kept and renovated the old vaulted ceiling made of bricks. There is also a nice patio in the courtyard where you can eat under the grape-vines. The menu entirely follows the periodicity of products and most ingredients come from their own land and garden. Pasta and bread are handmade with locally milled flour. All of the ingredients they don't produce, such as meat and cheese, are bought by other nearby farms. All dishes are traditional with an original twist and very well executed. Their own produced wine is also very nice (it is a DOCG). Prices are absolutely fair and the couple handling the place is really kind and professional.
