Lâesterno non è molto incoraggiante, sembra una specie di piccola fabbrica, non proprio un ristorante. Lâinterno è come un grande salone di casa, dove câè di tutto un poâ: lampadario, quadri, vasetti, stampe, fiori e, ovviamente, tavoli, sedie, una credenza e un ampio frigorifero.Menù tradizionale, con piatti classici regionali di terra, a base di carni e di cinghiale. Lâinnovazione sono i fiocchetti alla pera e formaggi, dal gradevole gusto dolce-salato.Buoni gli antipastini, le bruschettine allâolio nuovo di Canino, i frittini (pollo, baccalà fiori di zucca, borragine e altre verdure, i crostini misti. Poi, discreti paccheri alla matriciana, gricia e cacio e pepe, tonnarelli dello chef (alici, pomodorini e pecorino) e pennette alla Elio, riedizione di quelle alla vodka, un poâ annegate in una troppo acquosa salsina-laghetto. Ma quello che ha lasciato parecchio insoddisfatti sono stati i secondi piatti: i due filetti, ai ferri e al pepe rosa, piuttosto insapori e duri anche al coltello, le anonime salsicce alla piastra e lâabbacchio scottadito, secco ed altrettanto insapore. Di contorno, solo cicoria e patate al forno.Nella carta, anche coniglio, stinco e cinghiale non provati. Qualche dolce, come creme caramel, panna cotta o torta ricotta e visciola, e vino della casa: accettabile il rosso, poco potabile il bianco. Pur considerando il cibo genuino, la cucina casareccia e la gentilezza del servizio familiare, non è giustificata la relativa voce di 1,50 a testa. Non va. Secondo me questa location avrebbe un potenziale enorme ma la cucina lascia davvero a desiderare!! Una gestione quantomeno dubbia..Queste sono recensioni che in tutta onestà eviterei perché comunque dispiace non poter esprimere sempre un parere positivo.Ma bisogna anche pensare che i lettori di tripadvisor vanno messi al corrente che piuttosto che tornare qui, cercherei un altro posto.Davvero poche cose hanno funzionato e il costante sentore di prodotti datati, non freschi o addirittura confezionati, mi ha tenuto compagnia durante tutto il tempo.Peccato.

La zona di Canino, nel viterbese, oltre a essere famosa per il suo eccellente olio di oliva,è notoriamente apprezzata per la qualità del cibo e per la cura con la quale questo viene cucinato rispettando antiche tradizioni di paese. Non si sottrae a questo giudizio la professionalità del loquace Bruno, simpatico proprietario dell'Azienda Agrituristica "Le Cascine", sulla strada che porta da Montalto di Castro a Canino.Abbiamo cenato in questo ottimo ristorante e siamo rimasti più che soddisfatti!Nell'attesa di ricevere le carni alla brace che avevamo ordinato, abbiamo calmato la fame con una calda e gustosa focaccina, condita con un eccellente olio di oliva.Le carni di maiale e vitellone di buona qualità , abilmente cotte e opportunamente aromatizzate, sono state servite su piastre roventi di pietra ollare accompagnate da verdure ben cucinate.Buono il "rosso" della casa consigliato da Bruno per accompagnare le carni.A fine pasto squisiti biscotti secchi conosciuti in zona come "tozzetti " al vino e cannella, hanno completato l'ottima cena.Consigliamo caldamente una sosta in questo ristorante dove, oltre ad appagare i sensi del gusto, troverete un buon rapporto qualità -prezzo.

Mi spiace, ma queste persone o meglio il gestore deve fare altro nella vita, perché non capire che il sabato il venerdì serve uno o forse 2 rinforzi in sala non si può aspettare ore e mangiare in maniera a dir poco penosa pasta scotta tutte, birra calda, gelati li abbiamo lasciati sul tavolo ed alla fine trovarsi un conto importante senza neanche le scuse....improvvisati all italiana

We went to buy the new olive oil from the mill and we had lunch at their restaurant. It was quite early but everything was ready and freshly made. We had a generous antipasto with meat, cheese, vegetables grilled and deep fried then I had boar, very tasty, and my wife a soup with beans and handmade pasta. All accompanied by a good merlot from nearby. The staff was very kind and efficient. If you are in the area and want also buy some excellent olive oil, this is the place to come to.

The food is very good, the atmosphere is cozy and homey, the accommodation is nice and the young lady who is running the place is very professional. We always long, and want to go back when we are home in Norway.

It's the third time in few years I join the family owned restaurant and I have to confirm over and over their adherence to local cuisine tradition with one fact: it's growingly becoming a place for the wine lovers too!They've built a dedicated room for wine tasting and the wine selection is becoming classy and complete. They now can offer the best Franciacorta together with super-Tuscan wines.Food is just excellent as it is respecting the regional taste and it's delivered with the highest quality in the making.It's just totally worth a booking and a trip to find and discover them!

Pasta to die for (and I am serious!) personal service and wonderful taste. Summer cool pleasure outdoor tables in medieval environment winter warm pleasure in cleverly restructured medieval building. Worth travelling from England to eat there. My English friends said that the taste brought them back to their childhood before supermarket culture destroyed English taste. There!

I was in Canino for one night only and naturally consulted Tripdvisor to find the best place to eat.I visited the restaurant and was warmly greeted by the host Sandro.Unfortunately we do not speak the same language but that did not stop us from having wonderful conversation.I asked for him to bring me the best dishes they have and I was not disappointed. The food was exquisite. Endless amounts of truffle shavings on almost every course certainly made the meal even more special.One gets the feeling that every dish on their menu would be amazing. All are prepared with passion by his wife and daughter in the kitchen.The pricing is extremely reasonable - especially as they are specialists in truffle!It was a fantastic experience and I also believe I have made a great friend. I have promised to return in November and hopefully will be able to speak better Italian then.I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and has been the highlight of my three weeks driving around Italy. Bellissimo! Grazie!
