A highlight of our visit to Italy last week was a private lunch served to us at this wonderful restaurant. The food was remarkable. Innovative. Tasty. Beautifully presented. Impeccably served. Paired with nice wines. The variety was perfect -- from fried oysters to cod to 3 different tasty pastas to a main course of grilled octopus and then topped off with 3 different desserts, each better than the one before. Michelin critic, here is where you need to be because this is your next hidden gem. It is worth the trip to Alatri to just eat here. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Bravo Chef Roberto!

So, you are in this small town in Ciociaria region, in the middle of Frosinone countryside and you find a place like this, nice, cute and with a very very good food! Awesome!You can see since the beginning something different, the bottles of wine are very sophisticated Italian producers. Than the menu, good, wether meat or fish (another unexpected surprise) and of course with fantastic pasta dishes. The service was very warm. If you are around there, must go.

It's not often that you visit a restaurant with a large group and come away feeling that the service has been really personal and the food delicious. The owner, Paulo, greeted us all like long lost friends and then proceeded to serve up dish after dish of great antipasti - various hams and other meats, a kind of Italian bubble and squeak, plates of roasted peppers and salads and spelt with ham. The piece de la resistance though was the four desserts - tiramisu, crème caramel, et al - that were irresistibly yummy. The restaurant itself is quite tucked away on the via Duomo, with a cool interior and converted from an old stable. Alatri itself is worth a visit to walk along a small part of the Appian Way.

Breve passeggiata al Alatri, per arrivare in questo elegante locale. Menù molto interessante, piatti di vario genere per accontentare ogni palato, sia tra i primi che per i secondi. Ho scelto il primo come piatto del giorno mezze maniche rigate con ragù bianco di anatra, il secondo dal menù, petto d'anatra con frutti rossi. Buonissimi entrambi. Lista vini non ampia ma completa, con vini da varie regioni, e qualche bottiglia importante. Ho gustato un calice di vino locale bio, ottimo accompagnamento alle pietanze. Ho concluso con un godurioso babà crema e frutti rossi. Servizio ottimo e conto giusto.

Lost up in the mountain near Alatri, apparently frequented by locals, is a renovated country house almost in the middle of nowhere. It would have a nice view because of its position, but the valley underneath has nothing to offer as a panorama.It can be reached by a narrow long and winding road, which is a nightmare if another car is coming the other way.Food is normal stuff and service rather unprofessional

Il locale, a due passi dal Museo Civico di Alatri, è piccolo ma di grande interesse per l'ambientazione fantasy e i giochi di luce e musica. La cameriera è dolcissima, gioviale e discreta, vi metterà subito a proprio agio. Eccellente il tagliere di salumi e formaggi. Vasta la scelta di primi che non abbiamo provato. Ben cucinata la tagliata con rucola e grana. Ottimo il dolce a base di riso soffiato e gelato con panna. Consigliato per chi viene ad Alatri!

It's a steak restaurant so don't expect much more. Various different steaks such as Irish, Scottish, Argentinian, DanishGreat value and very friendly people. Don't be put off by the rather bizarre exterior it's fine once you're inside. We had starters, two steaks, potatoes, salad and a bottle of wine and it was 60 Euros!

Stayed few days at the Dr Vita Beata and I enjoyed evey moment of my time spent. It'll take a bit of time to take in the simplicity but thought through touches of this place but I enjoyed every moment waking up and going to sleep at this place. An added bonus is the restaurant!!! A must try. Unfortunately, I didn't spend many of my dinners there but my first homemade Italian dinner was one I won't forgot! Catered specifically for my halal taste buds the family prepared a meal that was finger licking!
