Marathokampos (Greek: Μαραθόκαμπος) is a former municipality on the island of Samos, North Aegean, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Samos, of which it is a municipal unit. The population is 2,609 (2011 census) and the land area is 87.250 km². It shares the island of Samos with the municipal units of Vathy, Pythagoreio, and Karlovasi. It is the smallest of the four in both land area and population.

Mama's Kitchen is a very different dining experience. Every day Mama cooks a selection of traditional Greek as well as international dishes, and every day she cooks something different. We also cater for vegetarians and have a separate childrens menu too.

Mama's kitchen was on our list to be for about a week. We were so satisfied with the food and hosts, we decided to have dinner there around the day. The atmosphere is a little crazy; daughter yelling at mother in the backroom then coming back to your table with a huge smile, asking if everything is fine. Very funny at times. The food is very fresh. They have a limited menu which changes everyday, so you will have to reserve a table a day before at best. All in all this restaurant is not pretentious which is also their strength. For us it was good enough to visit them very, very frequently. Because we have a little kid, they were willing to be a little more flexible in their actual serving times; but that is supposed to be a secret and an exception ;-) . A must visit!

Joanna and her husband Dimitris are so welcoming they recognised us even although it was a few years since we last visited.We had lunch a few times lovely Greek ommelette , club sandwich and Greek salad.Great place for cocktails and drinks at night

Awesome dining experience The food was typical Greek and the flavors were superb. You could taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. The prices were amazingly reasonable. I will come and have gone back several times. It is right in downtown so you can’t miss it the place is a little on the small side and they have a few seats worth going through. I would highly recommend We would like to thank you, honestly very much for the time you dedicated to write those beautiful words for the Salt & Pepper Restaurant! Εξαιρετικά ψωμιά, και ιδιαίτερα το ζυμωτό καρβελι. Πολλά είδη ψωμιού για κάθε γουστο. Υπέροχα γλυκά (σοκολατοπιτα για τους λάτρεις τής σοκολατας), τσουρεκια, κουλουρακια. Ευγενεστατο προσωπικό!!
