We were here for a dinner. Waiters were very friendly, professional and helpful. The food was very delicious, especially a rabbit pate! It was nice to sit outside on the terrace. Excellent bar with a wide selection of soft and alcoholic drinks.The fresh pressed orange juice is good.Food wise they have a small selection of cakes and quiches.My favourite is the pancakes.There are sweet and savoury ones.They are superb.Service is friendly,English is understood.Opens till 22.00 most nights.

The owners, Eva and Radek were wonderful to us. We were going to a little village outside of Trebon to look up our familyâs ancestral home. Eva was instrumental in contacting a local genealogist who drove us to the location and acted as an interpreter with the locals. The hotel and restaurant are a great value for the price and the food is excellent. 15 minute walk from the train station.

Had a great experience there this week. Dinner for two in a small family running restaurant with fresh only foodstuffs, seasonal and mostly of local origin.Czech ans international cuisine. Competent and helpful staff. Could see the chef also on the shop floor.They offer daily menu also.

A newly established restaurant (March 2019) in a 16thC Gothic town granary subsequently used for storing armaments and salt. It proudly brews its own beers. Thereâs outside seating at large tables in a pedestrian square and inside seating on two levels, the upper one perhaps providing the best location for quieter dining. The menu is reasonably comprehensive and the cuisine of a high quality. Service is efficient and friendly â and the beer is excellent.

This café is one of the most enjoyable coffee places I've ever visited. I appreciate the perfect preparation of really good coffee and the opportunity to taste completely original coffee beverages and homemade cakes :)

If you try any of the restaurants on the main square you will find mostly local kitchen. If you like it, than this restaurant a good place for it. And by the way - in Budweis you will get Pilzner beer!

It's a long time since I've experienced a rude waiter but that's the only way to describe one of the male staff serving tables outside this otherwise lovely city centre restaurant / hotel. The drinks were fine and reasonable value. Shame my lasting memory will be of one staff member.

23.10.15 First visit to 'Born in London' following recommendation from a friend in Krumlov. Noticed the obviously English signage when walking by a week ago. Called in for an early morning coffee. English themed decor and menu. Met the English speaking proprietor - twelve years catering/cheffing experience in top quality establishments in London. Excellent guy with genuine and infectious passion for food and, unusually, English cuisine and culture. Returned for lunch to sample the menu. Lengthy chat with host and English inspired grub to tempt. Passed up the chance of fish and chips in favour of steak and ale on a bed of potato and carrot mash. Rich, full flavour with a real hint of home. Beer, tea and Pavlova to finish. Slightly shabby chic decor with an English edge. Clean, comfortable, warm, friendly and accomplished. Seem to have stumbled on a real gem and WILL return soon for the fish and chips. Would definitely recommend 'Born in London' for something distinctly different with a definite English edge. Interior, menu, food, and husband/wife proprietors combine to provide a most pleasant and positive dinning experience. Not fine dining but the food is superb. You'll enjoy a delicious meal at excellent prices accompanied by piano play in the background (the pianist is always present).Excellent service. One of those rare occasions when you leave feeling like you got more than for what you paid.Top choice.
