Now that we had been here couple of times, gives immense pleasure to mince the icing for this place. We at palakkad never experienced an seafood joint till date, during our first outing along with meals (matta/brown rice) we tried crab masala, squid roast and karimeen with kanthari. The taste was awesome and didnt notice that we consumed double the quantity we generally have. Our second outing was with our close relatives who are pure veg. Their ambiance is so clean that while they were serving non-veg on our parallel tables we were comfortable having veg meals. Very neat place and have eminent car parking facility!

I liked the curd vada-onion dosa-fruit salad and of course the north Indian items-recommend it for those who like to taste vegetarian and south Indian food-tourist may love it.

Traveled from Coimbatore to visit Malampuzha dam with family. We spent almost five hours there and got really hungry. My brother who had already visited this restaurant once, recommended this and even though it took another 10 km drive from the dam we decided to give a try. Reached there around 5.30 PM and only a few dishes were ready at that time and due to our starving we ordered whatever available. We decided to start with soup as few of us were feeling cold. Mutton Kurumalagu (pepper) soup. The soup was very concentrate and had big chunk of lamb bone which was very difficult to munch on. The soup was ok, it was not warrm enough. If the chef would have heated that a bit it might have turned to be a wonder for us. Later for starters we ordered Grill chicken, Bar be que fish and for mains egg biryani, roti, parathas, paneer butter masala. later they confirmed Chicken biryani also ready and we ordered one. Some of us didn't feel biryani as it had very mild spices. But I liked that very much. The portions they served was also reasonable. For deserts, we ordered Coconut payasam and Madarasi Kismat. The coconut payasam was very delicious. We waited for more than half an hour for the later to get served. It turned to be a magic for us. We ordered two of those kismats and the entire family lured into the desert. And yes it was a heavy dessert. Contained some halwa sweet at its base full of ghee preparation topped up with two scoops of vanilla ice cream and some dry fruits. Overall the ambiance and food was good except the service as we were calling the waiter each and every time we needed and they didnit care to visit even near to the table. We were received by one waiter and asked to sit in one place, then another waiter came to take orders, then all of a sudden we cannot spot him and called another waiter for second round of order. Then finally forth waiter bought the check. Not sure they are out of waiters during the night.I may visit again/recommend this restaurant to my friends who visit palakad but the restaurant need to work on their service.

The Rice Bowl restaurant is one of the best eateries between Palakkad and Coimbature highway. Food, Ambience, parking and service are commendable. Recommend to try Fish curry Thali meals if you transit during lunch time. Keep it up!

This is located in the midst of busy big bazaar. Difficult to park the car or any vehicle. Place looks little bit shabby but itâs relatively neat. The food is very tasty. The Kozhukkatta which we get in the evening is awesome.Others are bonda, vada, baji seva etc. Its worth the trouble taking to reach there.
