This is a rather unprepossessing place but the food was great. The scotch fillet was cooked perfectly and came with generous selections of chips, vegetables and sauce. The snapper was great and the salad was good. The waitress quickly took it back when she realised my wife was dairy free and the dressing did not work. The wine helpings are generous. The staff were very welcoming. It was strangely empty but maybe that is Waipu on a wet winter's night.

Stopped in for a quick dinner around 5pm, this place has been recommended by many & definitely lives up the hype. We had to wait a little while for a seat, but such a great place to order a beer (normal imported or a selection of McLeods craft beers) and pull up a chair while you wait. The wait for good was around 15 to 20 mins but the squid plate and the prawn pizza was absolutely to die for. The large pizzas are huge and so full of toppings they easily feed two people per one pizza. There is ample parking around the streets & a child playground outside. Recommend and would for sure come back

Our cliental consists of a strong local client base and holiday season crowds, we also cater to international visitors from all over the world as Marsden cove is one of northlands only internationally rated customs ports. Great food, everyone in our group enjoyed what they had ordered, from kids to seniors and the food was right on time for each course, so no problems there at all. They went the extra mile with great christmassy table decorations and the waitress was happy, cheerful, helpful. Great views over the marina.

Couldn't definitely say this was the best curry I've had in NZ (memory not that good to remember them all) it's certainly up with the best. Not certain why they'd recommend a chicken tikka masala when wife couldn't make up her mind and asked the waiter. It came from Glasgow! Then again Madly Indian is in Waipu. Must be the Scottish link.

Eggs bene was lovely. Lots of hollandaise sauce. Bit windy outside but that's beyond the staff control. Only downside was waitress trying to take plates before all had finished snd before someone had finished their meal. Otherwise great. Will go again.

We stopped for a lunch and were looked after by an accommodating and friendly staff. A shout out to server, Jeremy, from Montreal who recognized the retro Saskatchewan Roughrider logo on the cap I was wearing and we had a most delightful visit with him. He is a keeper - along with the others who were on duty this afternoon.
The venue lends itself to lay back and relax.

After a disastrous fire about 7 months ago, we have a excellent takeaway again, Offering a wide variety of delicious food, after arriving back home from holiday it was a delight to have a great meal of Fish & Chips, freshly cooked, not greasy and friendly staff taking orders, the Pork roast meal looked so inviting, as did all the other food,good parking out side and dinning area inside shop
Living so close by, I know I will enjoy weekly "cooks night off" and enjoy the great food

Keeps changing coffee and food is inconsistent. Don't know if you're conversations are being recorded and listened to as the owners don't tell anyone they are voice recording. CCTV all good but recording your customers without their knowlwedge....Thanks 'Stee73' aka wife of ex-employee - we have a fair idea who this is and a number where the review was sent from is being subpoenaed with regards to our defamation legal proceedings :)

What an amazing experience. Fantastic and some, if only the surf was epic also.Great options for those with allergies and usually a chair use while you wait.
