One needs a car or a bike or any form of transportation to reach this restaurant. Once there, you first walk by a shop selling local fabrics and garments. Beautiful fabrics, but mainly for local skirts. They also have Chiang Mai China and a couple wood crafts
Then you will walk on an outside path with local stone paving onto a small restaurant.
First surprise beyond the warmth of the place is that the menu is either in Thai or in English spelling of Thai. Nothing in English.
But as I live in Thailand it was not too hard to choose a delicious dinner. Many dishes are local recipes. Larb moo (pork salad) is nothing like what you find in the center or south of the country. Much milder and less dry. The eggplants were out of this world. And prices more than reasonable for the quality and the setting. Spicy but very edible and very fresh ingredients. The Service is extremely friendly . No English spoken.
The only little glitch is that the kitchen closes at 7.30 and the restaurant at 8.00 or before as the lights went out at 7.50 when we were getting in the car.

This wonderfully decorated restaurant is a great place to stop along the road between the south and the north of Thailand. On hi ways 11, it has a nice, economical food selection. The most impressive plus is the decor. Waterfalls, Thai antique furniture and artifacts, and Thai history surround you. It is a beautiful place to walk around and relax.

We ordered 5 dishes which were good. (Probably due to our starvation though) The live music band was good. They played and sing quite well. Somehow their performance was disturbed by the adjacent discotheque's noise --very very loud. The poorest thing is the toilet. It was the stinkiest one I have ever met. Not to mention the cleanliness. Think twice before you use it.

Had a fabulous steak here in Uttaradit of all places. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare/medium or Medium rare+). It was so tender it could actually be cut with a fork. You would expect to find a great steak in New York, maybe Bangkok, possibly Pattaya but not here - however I did and it was also not expensive at all for a great steak. The owner was warm and friendly and his two service girls very attentive and sweet. This place is a little hard to find but well worth the effort. It is on a small unnamed alley between Boromaat Road and Rte 102. If heading south on Boromaat Road from the Seeharaj hotel it would be down about 1km on the opposite of Boromaat 13/1. If you reach the intersection of 102, 117, and Boromaat Rd you have gone too far and just go back 100 meters.

Luckily it wasn't crowded, so we particularly enjoyed our coffee break. The staff doesn't speak English nevertheless we managed to order. Butter beers together with muffins, chocolate cakes and a crispy pizza. Definitely going back soon!

Small but nice, the 1992 coffee has a good selection of coffee and tea (which is rare in Uttaradit). You may find some nice pieces of cake. I had a great takeaway cappuccino!

This lovely Cafe and restaurant offers a air-conditioned area as well as a shadowy garden one. The pond with fish and the flowers are just adorable, perfect place to enjoy a meal in a tranquil spot. Good Thai food, they also have a few western dishes.
Red Dragon Coffee&Tea is a coffee shop located in Uttaradit(behind Friday Hotel Uttaradit). In the Cafe we serve coffee,Tea and Dim Sum with a good atmosphere of Chinese art and Chinese antique items.
