The Terrace of this restaurant overlooks the Danube and, on a warm, sunny afternoon in May, was the perfect place to enjoy a pot of tea following a stroll round this small port. Service was excellent, the waiter helpful and the tea just to our liking, though we were a little surprised to be offered little pots of honey to sweeten it, rather than sugar. Pooh-like, we just spooned the honey directly into our mouths and delicious it was too!

+ A nice restaurant situated by the lake with a great view.
+ On our 4 days stay at the same hotel, Insula, we eat 3 times here and everytime the food was tasty and fresh.
+ The youngest stuff are very friendly and attentive
- The place is a little bit crowded during the summer months and this may cause a slow service.
- We paid 12 lei for 6 slices of bread we didn't asked for
- The dumpling donuts are not the greatest dessert on the menu

Been there with our Romanian friends. Very nice place to enjoy a well prepared local dish at a good price.
Friendly and fast serving and english well spoken too. Possible to sit in and out.
Remember to have a photo of you taken. It will be put on the wall inside.

From the city centre its a small 20 minutes walk but once you arrived youre glad you did the small detour out of the centre and crowds cause this restaurant has without a doubt the best pizzas in town -and also the big variety of salads makes it worth a visit. The prizes are very fair and finally some nice waiters- something thats not easy to come across sadly...

As a local, I can tell you this is the best place to eat in Tulcea. They have traditional fish receipes, VERY well cooked, from fresh fish, both Freshwater and sea fish. Also, you can try rapana with pasta, are hot and good!

This was one of our first one tastings some years ago. We were welcomed in the nice dining halls. The lunch was prepared, entrees included, everything looking great and very tasty, as we found out a bit later. We first got a tour, the entire wine making story and not only and during the tasting we received a lot of explanations on the tastes. We could also buy affordable wines which proved to be good on different occasions back home. Mr Dan Jalea was an extraordinary and lively host, great experience.

Not only pizza, but really, really good pizza. Dozens of options, with every topping one can imagine. And prepared on an excellent thin crust. We went back two nights in a row because we just wanted more! The only downside - the mushrooms were canned and not fresh...
