Nice views of the parc of the city, and cosy place. Is the perfect place to go if you want a good paella in Tortosa. Rice and seafood is very good. The dessert is good, but i expected something better. The only thing i didn't like was that the service was extremely slow.

We had a special, no-choice Middle Eastern menu here after a guided tour of the Jewish quarter. It was excellent: a selection of hummus, aubergine pate, and couscous salad with bread to start, then bacalao with almonds, and finally desserts of home-made baklava and pastellets. Including a bottle of kosher wine, coffee, and olive bread, it was 26 euros each. So not the cheapest, but the quality was excellent -- especially the top-notch, perfectly cooked bacalao. And the waitress who served us (in fact the only front-of-house staff) was very pleasant and friendly. I'd go back there if in Tortosa again.
PS I find it more than a little depressing that an earlier reviewer complained that they serve locally sourced food. How can this be a disadvantage? (especially when there is a superb covered market just yards away). And a short menu means freshly cooked food -- not packets out of the freezer.

We are fans of the Spanish "paradores" and this particular one was quite good. Our room was spacious, with excellent views of the Ebro valley and the city of Tortosa. Despite the cold weather (below 0), the room and the hotel were both well heated (one must remember that this is a castle!). Service was excellent.Our only complaint was the water pressure for showering, but other than that we were very pleased!

Near to Guadalest this restaurant serves one of the finest BBQ I've had in a long time. We went for the fixed meal which gave you 4 courses and was wholesome and cooked to perfection. Well worth a visit and access for disabled is easy.

We ate here after Reading Tripadvisor reviews and have to say it lived up to our expectations. Sat outside on a street wasn't the prettiest view, but it was relaxing to watch the world bustle by. We were promptly attended to by a very friendly waiter who took our drinks order. The menu was extensive and all sounded delightful. We chose a few plates to share, along with a bottle of very reasonably priced cava. The food was all absolutely delicious. Be aware that the servings are rather large; we had far too much food for two people, but it was so lovely, we just kept on forcing it down! The staff were absolutely exceptional; very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We couldn't have asked for better. We will definitely be back.

The first we ate at this restaurant was just after moving to the area. What a lovely surprise.
Elegant presentation of food. Nice house wine. Wonderful pizza.
The staff are particularly charming.
Our second visit, recently, was with visiting relatives. Once again the food was very good. The staff even kinder ( we had a child with us). This is a charming place. We highly recommend it.

14:30 in high summer, both thirsty and hungry, we dropped in "on spec" to this stylish looking restaurant. The menu was amazing, choc full of classy local fare and some mouthwatering looking Deserts. As for the décor, while it looks a bit Viennetta Ad early nineties on the outside, it was very cool and stylish inside.
We caught the middle aged waiter's eye (you know who you are) and that's when it went downhill. We asked for a table for five in Spanish, and his response was to curtly respond rapidly "en español" that there was no table for an hour, unless outside, where it was hitting 40c. This was despite the fact that we could have easily squeezed into a corner area, and the place was not exactly full. We felt that dealing with inarticulate "extranjeros" was pretty low on his priority, so we just cut our losses and left. NOT impressed.

The very helpful staff helped us translate the Catalan into Spanish and recommended child friendly dishes, served us delicious local fish, pasta, cured duck salad, bread and olives, really tasty little beers and puddings. The kids sat there for 3 hours whilst we soaked up the atmosphere and enjoyed being the only English in there. Loved it.

The restaurant doesn't look super fancy... but the food is first class!
Their lunch menu is very good value. The plating of the dishes is beautiful and the taste is very good.
I really liked the option of being able to choose half portions. That way you can get a taste of everything.
Their purees are silky and smooth and the meats melt in your mouth.
