Girlfriend ordered fish soup and a mushroom tart, I ordered salmon with shrimp. They brought the fish soup and then my salmon straight after. First thing I noticed was the smell from the shrimp. I could smell them from the other side of the table. When challenged, the waiter, who was about 15, leaned over, sniffed them, and declared the smell normal. At this point, my girlfriend discovered her fish soup contained chicken. The waiter replaced the soup and claimed the chef had accidentally picked up some chicken which was next to the fish. Okay, mistakes happen. Except the second bowl of soup also contained chicken. This time the waitress denied it was chicken and cam back with a bowl of "fish" that the cook was using. So we showed her a lump of chicken from the soup. So she replaced the soup again. The third portion also contained chicken. This place is pretty much fawlty towers.

Зашли сюда пообедать по совету местной женщины. Кафе действительно выглядит как хижина рыбака. За чистоту полов и столов здесь явно не переживают. Меню скромное, да ещё и того, что хотели в заказать, не оказалось. Взяли окрошку и суп из грибов. Окрошка как окрошка, а суп как-будто из пакетика с приправой для быстрого приготовления, ну и сушёные грибы добавлены. Шашлык принесли раньше остальных блюд, порция маленькая, остывшая и по вкусу мяса чувствовалось, что мариновалось оно не один день.
Вообще кафе работает на обслуживание тургрупп, которых сажают на открытой веранде. Нам, как "частникам" туда сесть не разрешили, пришлось сидеть в душноватом зале. Официанты замученные, уставшие и оттого, видимо, совсем неприветливые.
С туалетом и помывкой рук беда.
Но вид из кафе очень красивый, это единственный плюс.
Вообщем, место очень специфическое, сами туда больше не пойдём.

Одно из немногих кафе на острове Свияжск, где можно перекусить. Название получило в честь больших ёлок, которые растут прямо у входа. Там также есть туалет.

If you're looking for a meal in Innopolis, there aren't many places to go, but thankfully Cacio e Vino serves pretty good pizzas. It is a little pricey as compared to what you may be used to for a Russian meal, but the food is good and the service is good as well. The decor is nice as well (it's a very new restaurant). Innopolis is very diverse in terms of its population as well, generally young and well-educated (Innopolis University), and so even if you can't speak Russian, you should be able to get by with English around here. They do have pasta other than pizzas and there are also vegetarian options. All in all, I do recommend checking this place out if you're in Kazan/Innopolis!
