The drinks came quick on the table. From that on things slowed down. Waiters where attentive...when they had time to be around, running between to many tables. Ate fajitas. When the food finally arrived, me and the kids had already finished our drinks. The fajitas where blend, an avarage home-cook would have done better.

If you are looking for a place with real genuine good german food this is the place. I never had such a good fried potatoes anywhere else and I've travelled Germany up and down for a good part of the last 25 years. This is "gutbürgerlische Küche" at is best. Be aware though that they close quite early.

We went for a 'lunch', but decided to go for the ice-cream coupes, which were big in size, and loaded with ingredients. They serve a good variety of good ice cream coupes, some with liquor. The interior is styled like the outside, 19th century art nouveau / captain memo like. The view from the outside Terrace is really gorgeous. Recommendable for sure!

Firstly, the atmosphere is very cool. Eating at this place is an experience. It's very cute and the put a lot of attention to detail. Service is also great.
The food is good too, but in my opinion it isn't great. Definitely don't order salads. The steaks are huge (more than 400g) and tasty. But it's also a bit on the pricier side.

It is normal restaurant with normal day to day food. Service is very kind and helpful what makes pleasant athmosphere. Herring is very delicious but the wines are aweful (almost no wine). I would recommend this place everyone who wants to try local specialities.

Reading all the reviews with commenting the nice staff and good food it was a déjà vue. The welcome was very warm and friendly and waitress attentive all the evening. Food was good and according expectations, it is solid cooking with accent on fish and grill. Definitely worth to spend an evening!

My husband and I recently spent a weekend in Ruegen and decided to find a great restaurant close to this other touristy wine bar we stopped in while riding our rental bikes around town. Using the Near to Me feature on Trip Advisor, I discovered La Stanza was very highly rated. As it was only 5:00 in the afternoon, we decided that maybe we could get lucky with a table here without a reservation. We are so glad we did.
Our server was very friendly and helpful in recommending wines and antipasti. We shared some wine, a limoncello spritzer, and a plate of antipasti (cheese, prosciutto, salami, vegetables, etc.) and were blown away by how fresh and rich everything tasted. Some of the cheese was the best I've ever had. Although the appetizers probably would have been enough food on their own, we split a panini with cheese, tomato, arugula, and salami. It was fresh, warm, and delicious- probably the best panini I've ever had.
I can definitely see why people like this place. If we are ever back in the area, we will make Reservations and try this place again. It's definitely worth it, and not too pricy considering the quality and large portion size provided.

Immer wieder gab es bereits Empfehlungen für den Treppenbecker. Ein Besuch im Stammhaus lohnt sich nicht nur für den Kuchen und einen Kaffee, sondern auch um dort ein frisch gebackenes Brot mitzunehmen. Aber Achtung, nicht gleich auf dem Weg verspeisen.

Boddenzander can be compared to American Walleyed fish, which it is sometimes sold as in the US. Our table ordered the zander, gruene heringe, fischteller and filetspitzen Ruegener which were all excellent. There is a Mwst. of 19% added in Germany. The restaurant was very clean and quiet with excellent service. If you are in the area, try it!

Impatient and unfriendly waitress. Talked over me when I tried to explain what I wanted. Said that we should expect to wait a long time. When she realised that she didn't have the cake we ordered she asked us to leave without giving us another option because 'other people are waiting for a table'. Can't comment on the food - didn't get to try it.
