This is not just a restaurant"!
Its a collection of food, sweet. Cultural and historical part of Sanaa.
If you visited Sanaa and missed it you will have to back again as your visit s still incomplete.
On the walls of the three storey restaurant you will see the photos of all local poloticians who dined here.
Most Yemen guests must enjoy it as part of city life style.
Its littile noisy ,hectic enviroment makes it more special.
Try the local Fahsa, which is goat meat coocked with vegetables and served hot with extremely giant local bread called "rashoush"

Foods are nice, especially the pakoda as the appetizer. For the main course, chicken briyani rice was also nice. The restaurant environment was quite okay, although the location is a bit hidden from the main road.

The food was superb and plentiful, the variety nearly endless. We did the break fast there recently - the place was packed and crowded, yet the service was swift and the food well-prepared.

good food with the occasional food poisoning. Thankfully I haven't experienced it here and I used to go very often at least once every two weeks but I have had friends unfortunately get very sick from some of the meat dishes. I am a vegetarian and so I often order the Lentil dish with a salad. tasty food!

The Yemeni cuisine at its best. You can entertain yourself and your guests by sharing some of the best food that is prepared as if it is at home. The best zurbian, Saltah, Lahm haneeth and many many more. The raisin juice is extraordinarily delicious.

my family and I decided to check out again this restaurant, to our surprise the management had changed, the menu had some exciting new additions and the question was is it now at par with the other AL-TAZIJ chains we had tried in Saudi Arabia?
Yes, the food quality, service, presentation and friendliness of the staff was now very high.
We tried the newly listed Chicken TIKKA and it was was very good.
food is VERY affordable too.
Im sure it will now be an addition to our weekend treats.
well done!

Yamal Al-Sham

This was once one of my favorite restaurants in Sanaa.
Unfortunately the standards have dropped sharply, there is a construction site of a new tunnel and bridge right out side the restaurant, this is partly to blame.
The food to my dismay was very poor and not what we expected of the once very high standards i was used to here.
we ordered chicken pieces (Sheesh Tawok) and kebab and oh my!
the food was cold, stale and most pieces of the chicken were raw.
Presentation was good, apart from the fresh bread and salad, the food couldn't be eaten.
to add insult to injury, the prices were now over inflated, i think to compensate for the low customer turnout!
I hope the management does something very fast to bring back this restaurant to its high standards!
