The food was extremely good, the price fair and the host makes you feel at home. I'm not giving the top score for the only reason that (I understand) the traditional food is meat and I had fish instead, so I want to keep some room for improving the score at my next visit. On a more serious note: 1_the mussels had a generous quantity of garlic, which was fine with me but may not be liked by everybody and 2_I noticed that a wrong order was delivered to the table next to mine. The host apologized and instead of changing the order (as most would), left the wrong one on the table for free and brought the correct dish as well. The quality is in the details too and I will definitely go back.

Sometimes you decide to eat in a restaurant, not due to any recommendation, not because of any TripAdvisor review, but jsimply because you walk past and something indefinable tells you that this is a place to try. Such a thing happened when passing Tavernetta Dante in Rovigo. It was closing for lunch when we walked in and asked if there was any need to book for the evening. The very friendly owner said that he would expect us. So, suitably hungry, we arrived early and received a very warm welcome from the owner and later from his wife.
We had a shared starter of boiled mixed fish including capesante, prawns, calamari. Since this included two of my wife's favourites, calamari and polpi, it soon disappeared. Next, I enjoyed a plentiful portion of extremely flavoursome baccalà a la vincentina, while my wife had grilled Anguilla which, she tells me, was cooked to perfection.
The wine, a chilled Raboso recommended by the host, was so good that, naughtily, we had a second half litre. When the owner's wife was pouring it a drop spilled on to the tablecloth and she pointed out to us that this was considered a sign of good luck.
There is a bar area immediately on entering the restaurant and here some people, who appeared to be regulars, had snacks drank and chatted. Tavernetta Dante is a lovely place that has everything, welcoming, excellent food, ambience and a feeling that you are special. I cannot recommend it highly enough and cannot wait to return.

Happy hour; break; lunch or dinner: choose this restaurant-bar and enjoy a good experience.
Osteria ai Trani is an historical and well known location and it offers a menu of typical local dishes based on meat or fish. A selection of big mixed salads are available for vegetarians and a choice of hamburgers reinterpreted in a personal way can be an unusual solution.
The environment is warm and the staff is welcoming.

Perfect dinner in a friendly atmosphere. All dishes are great, they maust have an excellent shef. I have ordered steak with balsamic souce. It mead of the best beef and grilled perfecly. My wife had black risotto, what se enjoyed so much.
Menu card is Italian only, but the young waitress tranlated all of it to English with her recommendations.
It was not expensive at all.

I had another excellent Chinese meal here (third review). They do Japanese too like most Chinese places in Italy.
Very large portions. Friendly, professional service. Modern decoration.
Around €20 for a full meal.
The large restaurant is in "Area Tosi" which is a huge open space on one of the main roads into Rovigo, so it's easy to find, easy to park and easy to find a table, even at peak times.

we were travelling on the highway towards Venice and we decided to make a stop over to have dinner. we randomly chose this restaurant and our choice was the good one. the owner told us a list of starters and main that was really terrific, i would have loved to try all of them but i end up having quail eggs and truffle and paccheri with bakon and caprino. my husband had baccalà and tagliolini with truffle and ham. all was really delicious. on top of that price was really good. i'd strongly recommend this place.

Few hotel restaurants provide this level of quality and service. I would prefer lighting that is more subdued, but it is typical of Europe.

Nice ristorante pizzeria with huge portions. Everything fresh, well prepared, both meat and fish dishes. Apetizers look like main course, children menu for 6 eur could be suitable for adult. Worth detour from highway to eat great for good value.
