That was really exciting experience in Skive when visiting for the first time. Lots of food you cannot fit into yourself. But being in Skive later on I always thought of this nice place with delicious food (not only steaks!) and salad bar. So really worth trying it all. But remember to book you table, the place looks really popular.

Brought American friends to visit as I know and like the beer and thought it would be nice to visit. But the service was close to being rude - no welcome, not even acknowledgement that we were waiting for table, food too salty and quite indifferent. Beers still great though it would have been nice to get a little introduction (and yes I can read and it was done in the beer menu, but still ...)

Stayed at the Best Western next door, went to Annexet on their recommendation. Ate twice, on a Friday night and on Sunday night. Consistently good was the food quality, simple straightforward menu and price, being on the higher side of fair.
Inconsistent was the service, on the Friday it was quick, prompt and without delay. On the Sunday it was slow with just one waitress who showed her face every quarter of an hour or so. Saw one local couple walk out in frustration without being fed. On the Friday it was about half full with three staff on duty, on the Sunday it was nearly empty.
So avoid Sunday (there's a McD's next door, if you can put up with them)

Limfjordens Hus is situated just at the tip of Glyngøre Harbour so you have a wonderful view over Limfjorden to the island Mors. And the interesting view always changes depending of weather, season and time of the day.
Food i excellent and off course a big part of the menu is fish and seafood so close the the fjord. The service personel is kind and professional.
During weekends the restaurant often offer buffet at a low price where you can taste a lot of different dishes.

Vi tog en æggekage, denne kan varmt anbefales, der er meget og den er god og så med en god FUR øl til, så skal der bare nydes. Dejligt smilende personale og hurrtig betjening

The cafe is next to the pleasure boat marina (not the commercial harbour near the ferry crossing) and has good views across the marina and out into the fjord. The cafe has a limited menu of traditional Danish food, with good sized portions at a very reasonable price. If you order the platter, you get a starter and main together. You order the food and alcoholic drinks on the way in, collect your soft drinks from the counter then choose your table. Wine and beer are served at the table. There are a number of alcoves/small rooms if you do not want to be in with the crowd. Payment is made at the counter, on the way out.
Note that the cafe is run by a couple who do things the way that suits them. That includes not accepting any form of payment except cash in Danish crowns!

Last dinner in Denmark, chose the place after finding it in TripAdvisor. Fantastic in the harbour, a bit off the center of Skive - but easy to find by car. Weekend they serve only buffet, but the price was surprisingly low compared to the look of the place, and the food (both taste and looks) gave good value for money. Delicious fish, salads and grilled meat. Only minus was maybe a bit dull choosing of bread.

Each year when I visit my native Denmark my Dad likes to treat the entire family to dinner at Breum Landevejskro (just a bit north of Skive in Central Jutland). Again and as usually this husband and wife owned and run place didn't disappoint. We were 6 adults and 4 kids. Most adults ordered the succulent and tasty Wienerschnitzel - whereas I went for the biggest red snapper w/ shrimps I've ever had. My daughter is gluten-intolerant and Sanne, the chef, came out to discuss with me what to cook for her (chicken breast over small potatoes with a tomato sauce). Flot blomsterarrangement ved døren med rød løber.
Bordene dækket med. Sølvdækketallerken og musselmalet porcelæn . Smukkeblomsterdekoratione.
Maden i top, muslingesuppe og kold fiskeanretning
Kalvesteg med hasselbagte kartofler,salat og skysouce. Glaseret skinke med flødekartofler.
Desserttallerken med blødende chokoladekage,appelsinfromage,æbleis og appelsinis
Alt meget velsmagende.
