In Abrahamhegy, restaurants are scarce. This place could be competitive though, should there ever be competition locally. There is a nice selection of toppings, the thin-crust pizza is nice. Home made lemonade also good value. Children's play corner in viney backyard, only one high chair though. Terribly long wait.

First off, make sure to make a reservation beforehand!! We (5of us) ordered everything from the menu and they were all great! Exciting ideas made from seasonal ingredients! Plating is beautiful too! They have their own rosé wine! Try it, its really good! Our waiters were kind but they seemed a little untrained! They were most probably just temp servers with no experience in hospitality! Apart from the average service we had a great time and we really enjoyed the meals! It was very refreshing to visit a Balaton restaurant that doesnt serve boring dishes with boring sides! Every dish was very well planned and designed! Koszonjunk szepen, jovunk maskor is!

Being on the most promising spots in the area, the disappointment was even bigger.
To be constructive i'll start with some good stuff:
- This is a beautiful place made with taste
- Has a stunning atmosphere of tranquility and serenity
- The food was good, but but not exceptional
And now what i disliked:
- First time we visited the restaurant, it was like 10% occupancy and still we were kicked out. I am saying kicked out because we felt kicked out, the owner with this poker face and zero empathy explained that we need to reserve seat in advance because they are making fresh food and only expected guest is allowed. I explained to him, that we traveled hours especially to be here but i got no compassion at all, he did not even offered an alternative. By the way, this behavior is something common around Balaton, but i expected something different here, being advertised as some kind of high class place.
- I also blew my mind when i check the website of the place (which we also checked before we came) and i couldn't find any warning about the mandatory reservation !
- After we were kicked out, we came back because we were really curious about the place. Sitting there we witnessed other people to be sent away in the same snobbish arrogant style.
Too bad.

The more than 100 years-old house is situated on the hills, 2 minutes drive from the shore. They are making wine and preparing good food. If you like thier wine you can take it to home because they have bottled for purchase. Dishes are Hungarian.
Good place to have a calm dinner with your family or your partner drinking wine and do not care tourists because they hardly go there.

Restaurant Pipacs and Spritzer Garden

The restaurant is located in Köveskál where there are many competitors at different niveau and pricing.
Pipacs performs very well in this competition - i tried some others as well. Pipacs shows and gives what it is really behind, do not want to be more. Therefore service quality and meals are friendly and fine, you really have the impression that it was a perfect idea to go there.
Also perfect location with animals, or even for groups with bikes.
