The Tuckaway Tavern and Butchery

Reviewed By Lynne R - Rindge, New Hampshire

We heard about this establishment on a local television program featuring area restaurants and other great places to visit in New Hampshire. Rather unique in that it is a restaurant and butcher shop, along with a local craft beer room. At 2:45 on a Sunday we were told the wait for a table for two would be about 45 minutes so we occupied ourselves looking at the huge variety of meats, salads, desserts and other goodies in the butcher shop. We were seated in about an hour, unfortunately the wait for larger groups was much longer. We decided to try the hamburgers and were not disappointed- they're large and delicious. Took home some sausages, stuffed chicken breasts and beer from the shop. We highly recommend a visit to the Tuckaway Tavern, just be prepared to wait to be seated no matter what day or time.

Dunkin' Donuts

Reviewed By Northern_Traveler701 - Portland, Maine

The Dunkin Donuts in Raymond is really busy, especially on weekend mornings, but they move quickly and crank out the orders pretty fast. The drive up is a little weird as you have to drive around a car wash and the line can be curvy but it moves pretty fast. The offerings are the standards for all DnD's.

Casual American style pub featuring house-smoked meats, comfort food and a great craft beer selection.

Excellent beer selection with stout options year round. Sandwiches are huge & delicious. I personally can only eat half, except the fish sandwich that I order "no roll" - with the fries this is a perfect size for me! My partner never complains of leaving hungry by portion size.

Pizza By George

Okay, I must admit the grease factor is high here, but the pizza is so delicious! Price is fair. Options are plenty. And the selection of single serve options under the glass is great for those looking to drop in for a single person lunch. We've been customers for 20 years now - mainly getting pizza and steak subs. Mmmm!

Gordos

What a cute little place. We ate a late lunch here on a Saturday afternoon and pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves which was great. We had fried pickles and they were excellent...like who wouldn't like fried pickles :-) three of us had burritos which were large and tasty. The only complaint was the that burritos could have used more sour cream. One of our party had the salad bowl which was delicious. Great prices. A funky little place we can't wait to visit again so we can try more dishes.

Pines

Reviewed By HarrisonBergeron13 - Raymond, New Hampshire

For some reason the Pines somehow makes a lot of claims to reputation for really good seafood, but the fact is it's quite low quality. If you want a bunch of unidentifiable fish deep friend until its unrecognizable, or clams/shrimp so breaded that thy are 80% breading with tiny scraps of meat, then have at it. It's not that it tastes bad per se, at least if you love deep friend food, but don't expect any subtle seafood flavors - you really can't tell one kind of fish from another in all the batter. Go here if you want vaguely fish-tasting deep fried batter. All served in the atmosphere and charm of a clam shack - go to the counter, order your food, wait until your order is called and pick it up. This being New England, there is SO much better seafood available.

Lucky Corner is your typical Chinese fast food take out place. The quality is average and so are the prices. We have had a fair sampling of their menu with mixed results. Some of the standards are OK - like fried rice, but some of the vegetable dishes were not very good. A couple of the items were pretty bad.

If you are picky about the quality of chinese food, you will probably want to go elsewhere. The only time we use this place for take out is for sheer convenience.

I am being generous here in rating it average.

Louie's Pizza & Italian Grille

Reviewed By shartzerj - Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Granted, we had planned to have lobster rolls at Tuckaway's, but the wait was tooooo long. So we weren't in a great mood. We wanted something comforting and pasta seemed like just the thing? The restaurant was nicer inside than we thought from looking at the outside. The young woman was friendly and helpful since this was our first time there. We both ordered pasta dishes. Hubby thought his was OK (shrimp with penne) but not to be ordered again. I thought my chicken & broccoli with Alfredo sauce was very disappointing. The sauce was thin and watery, so it didn't cling to the penne. It was also completely tasteless. The broccoli was limp from being overlooked. The bits of chicken were also tasteless. So, plain pasta with flavorless sauce and chicken. I tried dousing it with pepper, but it had little impact on the problem. I believe their pizza is their claim to fame. If we do return, that is what we will try.

Phoned in order and told 20 minutes. Arrived in 20 minutes pizzas were ready Pizza was great, calzone little soggy because of spinach I suspect. Arriving at the location looks a little questionable with people hanging out outside with a little too much to drink. 2 doors one the bar one the deli. Use right door for deli.
