Rapla is a town in central Estonia, the administrative centre of Rapla County and Rapla Parish. The oldest records date back to 1241 in the Danish Census Book, when it was said that it was a small village with 8 acres of cultivated fields. By the end of the 13th century the village centre was firmly established. At around the same time a Cistercian monastery was built.

The worst service that I have seen in Estonia. If you have ordered something and allready paid for it - usually you receive it, but obviously there are other laws in this cave...
We came, sat down, took the menu. The staff pretended that we are not there. Well after 15 minutes of waiting I went ordered at the counter and already paid for it. Part of the food was brought. Ok, nice. After the main course I waited for dessert for 30 minutes. No one of the staff came to remove the dirty dishes or bring the desert. I tried to signalize them, but the staff showed no interest at all... We went away without receiving the dessert, which we had already paid for...

The Karavan shish kebab bar seats up to 40 people.
We came pass Rapla on are way to Tartu and we wanted to get something to eat, so we stopped at this restaurant bar. Inside is all wood made , tables, chairs, bar , walls ....everything but what was more nice was the big cosy fireplace in the center of the place. We ordered meat on skewer with French fries and a chicken schnitzel with potatoes and salad. Food was delicious and staff very friendly.

This little cafe has a rotating art exhibition and a cozy view of the Main Street in town. In Europe with few places really serving breakfast I've come to enjoy some good eggs and ham with a cup of coffee and some business friends!
