We had breakfast there.
My friend is vegetarian and she found something she could eat.
She had the mushroom and cheese omelette.
I had the seafood omelette, it had shrimp and scallops in it.
First we were served a bowl of fresh fruit, (okay, maybe it was a small bowl).
I had coffee and my friend had jamicai tea, (which is hibiscus flowers).
It was very good, we will certainly be back.

This is a real mom & pop type place, run by America expats. stopped in on our way to Mulege based on the reviews and were not dissappointed. It's a funky divey little place on the beach with 3 dogs assisting you. we had the famous (according to the owner/chef) fish sandwiches which were huge, flavorful and should be famous. good fries accompanying the fish! it's about 20km from Mulege but it's worth a stop!

Estrella del Mar de Mulege'

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the "difference" will no longer be available at the "Estrella del Mar", located at km 107 Transpeninsular Highway Loreto/Mulege', B.C.S. Mexico. Early December 2013, we were served a document, demanding we vacate the premises immediately. We were also facing possible deportation. The new owner of the property decided they wanted us out, so they could take over the business. We agreed to vacate by the last day of December, 2013. On behalf of the management and staff, we would like to thank our patrons for their support. It was our pleasure to serve you. Bob n' Sue...Pepe' & Rosy...Natalie...Adriana...

This is the last best place between Baja Norte and La Paz, a water hole, easy parking, great local knowledge. Congenial staff, friendly and helpful. The food's great -- the roast beef on sour dough is comfort food par excellance. Everyone who's Anybody in Bahia Concepcion hangs out here, with a wealth of local fishing and local information. Have seen 4 managers of this place over the years, but only now is Eatrella del Mar classic baja.

We were told to order the Chili Rellenos, so we did! They were excellent! The chips and salsa were good too.
The beer was cold, the service was excellent, the food was great!
Cici is always smiling and happy, teasing and joking with the customers.
Monday night is movie night and they have lots of great American movies.
Some nights, on special occaisions, there is dancing.
Yes, there is outside Seating, and horseshoe pits.
This is one of those special places with great Baja attitude and flair.
Stop here, you won't be disappointed!!

Finally a green salad and yummy green enchilandas.
Excellent coffee and chile- cheese rolls.
All a reasonable cost. And they took dollars as Mulege has no place to change dollars to pesos. The banks won't change dollars and the ATM machines are often out of order when you can find one in Baja.

We stopped at this restaurant for brunch on the way back from a fishing trip in Santa Rosalia. I saw on the menu an item called "Pan Frances", which turn out to a French toast. It was the best that I have ever had, very tasty, not too sweet and has a flavor that fit my taste bud very well. I certainly will be come back try other dishes. The ambience of the restaurant is very typical of the small town Mexico. Services were excellent

You wouldn't think a Mexican restaurant would serve Pizza, but they do.
Only on weekends.
It's Wonderful! My girlfriend is vegetarian, so we go there to have vegetarian pizza.
I think it has mushrooms, olives, bell pepper and cheese on it.
I may have left out something.
It's so good, that although I'm not vegetarian, I go there just for that meal.
We get a large, it's enough to fill us up, and some to take home.

I took my friend there because she is vegetarian. She had the Huevos Rancheros and I had the Machaca con Huevos.
Machaca is essentially shredded beef, scrambled with eggs. And there was green pepper also.
I had corn tortillas too.
With coffee and a fruit dish, it was very good.
The salsa was not hot, just enough to give it some flavor.

Gato Gordo Cafe

El Gato Gordo Cafe is the premier restaurant in Baja California Sur. Currently we are serving the best Wood Fired Pizza, but will be expanding to American style donuts, gourment coffee, traditional mexican style breakfast and sandwiches in the afternoons.

Yes, it was very good pizza made of imported ingredients, baked in a wood fired oven and served by friendly helpful staff. But, a decision was made at the boardroom level to close. Very sorry. A few tweaks could have provided us all with good food and good times!

Armando's

Reviewed By Nick H

The cook and co-owner, Luz Maria grew up in a large ranch family near San Ignacio and since birth has been cooking. Everything she makes is prepared with excellence and is made from the freshest ingredients. From seafood cocktails to carne asada, it is all great. Breakfasts are the best.
Because everything is prepared from scratch, service is just slow enough to give you a chance to unwind and enjoy a drink and soak in the ocean the view down the bay that is one of the finest in Baja Sur. The family is welcoming and friendly. Her margaritas are the very best. You might try her "Palomita," another Tequila drink
I live nearby most of the year and I regularly eat at Mulege and Concepcion Bay restaurants. Most are outstanding and this is one of the best.
If you don't see your favorite on the menu, ask Luz Maria if she can fix it for you. Chances are that she will make it for you.
At Armando's, it's all good.
