We visited during our wedding anniversary trip to South Australia. We were staying in Hahndorf however all the places to dine closed so early there and we're night owls. So we drove to Mount Barker to eat and Giovanni's. So glad we did. We had some of the best pizza we've ever had! And pizza is our favourite meal. We enjoyed it so much we returned the following night for our final dinner in South Australia.
Service was prompt and friendly. It was quiet when we visited but I would imagine the place gets very busy so I would suggest booking ahead.
A large pizza was $28 and a small $15. More than we're used to paying for pizza but we'd definitely eat there again despite the price.

ENTER THE LAND OF THE LONG LUNCH! You will find more than a priceless view when you discover The Lane Vineyard. You will see vines with their roots in an ancient landscape, hear a real story about what makes a family work, Be swept off your feet by wines that deliver style, luxury and pleasure. Unearth your wine food and wine odyssey as you linger over lunch.
This is a very popular Adealide Hills winery for good reason. It is well situated and about a 10-15min drive from Hahndorf. The wine tasting is arranged around flights that give a good opportunity for tasting The Lane’s wines. The winery includes a very nice looking restaurant which we did not stop at bookings on the weekend being a must. The only disappointment was that to buy some of the wines required a commitment to joining a club that required an ongoing commitment to buy. This approach to selling wine is not conducive to the development of a good cellar or the industry.

A friend of mine recommended this place to us, glad he did, was as busy as that day, usually a good sign. Wasn't dissapointed, pie good and the service was reasonable as well. Not bad lunch stop.

Although living a tad over 30kms away, we find ourselves regularly returning to this eatery.
Service is always good - the staff are forever looking for things to do but never intrude.
This was a lunchtime visit and we both opted for a chicken schnitzel. it was not the usual 3mm hammered flat pub offering but a very chuncky fillet. Quite moist and coated with a slightly herb flavoured crumb. The salad contained a wide variety of ingedients. To us, it indicated that a good amount of thought and care had gone into it.
I can see us continuing to return.

There is not much point writing multiple reviews and saying the same things, but sometime situations change, as here. We love coming here, but notice a few difference with this visit. Firstly the restaurant is being renovated and enlarged to include some outdoor dining. This means a loss, at least temporarily of the lovely garden outlook. Also, there is no longer a salad bar – a feature which we have enjoyed. On the plus side, they have introduced a $12 Seniors lunch special, with very generous serves of bangers and mash, lamb's fry, fillet of fish with chips (or mashed potato) and salad etc. Also the cake bar, which was always attractive, has now been extended. Even with all these changes, we enjoy our meal, and the attention of friendly waitress Nikki who supplies a candle for my wife's birthday treat – age undisclosed! We'll be back again!

As we’ve done before, we stopped for lunch on our way back from Victor Harbor at this very cosy café. We both enjoyed warming cups of tea and cream of porcini mushroom soup served with toasted Turkish flat bread. The soup was delicious as was the bread. The service was very friendly and quick. We’ll certainly call again.

When we entered the restaurant was packed & we only just got a table.
I made the comment to my wife that we may have to wait a while for the food but it was delivered really quickly & was great.
My son & I both had a risotto funghi with chicken, the flavour & consistency were excellent.
My wife had the Cajun Barramundi which tasted as good as it looks.
I do not know how they can produce such good food for so many people in such a short time.
Excellent.

My boyfriend and I often go to Sazon for brunch and it's become our go-to. Consistently good coffee and food, we love the corn fritters and haloumi salad! Even the simple banana milkshakes are super tasty. Relatively quick service even when the place is full - which is often.

I came to this bakery with a theological question about its name, but never mind! The café is at the lower end of Gawler St, away from the crowds and pleasantly quiet. The setting is pleasant with Seating for about 20 at small tables facing out to the street through a large window. There is outdoors Seating as well. The bakery serves morning and afternoon teas and lunches; we come for our usual afternoon cuppa. Supplies seem to be down at this time of day, but there is a moderate supply of cake. Our order is quickly and efficiently served to our table in a friendly way. The drinks are to order and the raspberry and coconut macaroon cake is delicious. A good place to stop.
