Well into my fifties, I have discovered the cocktail craze and the Jitney bartenders have helped me walk through my latest craving, the offerings that include 'bitters' . The smoked meats and the cheese and meat platter is nice to share for a snack. I like the decor and the bar handcrafted with the history of a local commuter train when they were still smartly in use across Iowa is especially neat. I can always count on a nice time at the Jitney.

I went here with my mom, aunt and grandmas and it was a fantastic time. We had coffee, smooties, scones and sandwiches. All were very good and reasonably priced. The best part of Java Jones is the atmosphere, it's open and inviting with cool artwork and decor. Great small town coffee spot!

Cupcakes always look delicious, but my experience has been that they rarely taste as good as they look. I'm happy to report that this is not the case here. These cupcakes were absolutely delicious! My friend and I tried several different flavors over the weekend, our favorites were the vanilla on vanilla, and the strawberry. We also had a couple of their sandwiches which were very good also.

This was a delightful find here in Anamosa, a break from the normal burger and fries type of places, La Hacienda has wonderfully fresh prepared Mexican cuisine and really good prices. Kid friendly, great prices, awesome nachos! We showed up with a large group during a baseball tournament, and the friendly staff patiently waited on our large group and the service was great despite being busy due to the tournament.

This is a crazy, beautiful atmosphere. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly. I had the flat iron steak and it was amazing. My husband had the 'tedderloin' and it was huge and crazy good too. We talked with the owner and she was engaging and kind. We will definitely be back!

If you drink Bud Light and refuse to try anything other than 'domestics' in blue cans, this place will not be for you! The owners have tapped into the big city feel in this small town, from the rustic / industrial décor, to the creative concoctions mixed behind the bar and presented from the kitchen. Nice tap offerings, frequent live music. Put this place on your must visit list.

We've eaten there twice so far and found a number of the dishes to be top ten Chinese of all time! Kung Pao shrimp- so subtle and yummy. Beef and broccoli, lo mein, all the usual staples of what I call "Iowa Chinese are well presented and not too heavy. Lunch specials are a good value and lots of food. Best Chinese in Jones County .
