What a delicious lunch in Mafra. A nicely well located restaurant with great game offer. Tried "espetada de javali e veado" and that was fantastic. The desert ("Pudim the ovos") was perfect. The room is quite, the service is friendly and the price is reasonable.

Traveladvisor brought me here and i feel like i must pay it forward. This is a hidden trasure. Tipical food, excelent service, excelent price. A must in the zone. If you are passing by, its definitely worth a visit.

Glad we found this place. A very nice Brazilian stew for two, with wine and coffee was around 20 Euros. The service was good and efficient, and I can't think of a bad thing about it. Homely cooking at less than touristy prices. Just go.

Typical portuguese food, in a very cosy environment, where usually there are many families going for a meal, for years and years in a row. The food is great, very tasty - try the octopus (polvo à lagareiro) or their speciality, bull (bife de touro). A good place to eat good quality beef. Enjoy!

The display of cakes is amazing. Everything looks good and fresh both sweet and savory. We tried the "empadas" and "fradinhos" and both were delicious. Although, if you don't have a sweet tooth don't go for the "fradinho".

Highly recommended restaurant! The meat and desserts are delicious!! It a local restaurant full with warm local people. The staff is working fast and efficiently.
Please note that the restaurant is close on Sunday and the rest of the days the opening hour are 12-15:30 and 19:30-22:30

Went to Mafra on a weekend tour with family and this was on top of the list of Mafra's restaurants. Even though great care has been given regarding the space and the lightning, I began my disappointment when I noted all tables had appetizers waiting for eventual costumers. Also, we had to share a table with two other costumers, having the waiters serving them over our plates. We had to stop eating and lean back when they were served. After complaining, that didn't happen again, but it was very annoying. And finally, eve though the food was good, it was not what I was expecting, both in terms of quality but above all in regard of the price charged. Definitely, won't recommend it.

Hello travellers, nice place to lunch or have dinner, the food is very good, the staff is friendly, and is has a wonderful Sangria. You have in the summer a nice outdoor seat that is in front of Convento de Mafra a wonderful monument, you can go walking and explore it.
Recomend IT!
