Went for dinner after making Reservations on Open-Table. We were quickly seated. This restaurant in nestled in a beautiful historic home in rural King City. The ambiance is quite pleasant and clean. I had the warm mushroom salad as an appetizer and enjoyed it, however, I would have prefered their to be no letuce -- would have been better with an assortment of mushrooms. My salmon was cooked nicely; however, there was quite a bit of salt on my salmon and the accompanying sides -- spinach and potatoes au gratin. I would definitley visit again. Their cheesecake is absolutely divine -- light and fluffy. I'd go back for the cheesecake!! lol

King Valley Golf Club remains one of the top golf destinations for our foursome. The course itself presents innumerable challenges which if handled well gives one unforgettable memories. Dining afterwards has always been a predictable treat, especially the burgers! Super-friendly staff from drop-off, pro-shop, cart attendants to the waitresses at the restaurant.

The Kingsbridge Centre

Reviewed By KathrynJaneway51 - Toronto

My husband and I just spent the weekend at Kingsbridge Centre. It is a very quiet and peaceful hotel/conference centre. We had the large outdoor/indoor pool and hot tub mainly to ourselves both days. The buffet breakfast had many choices including an omelet station. The grounds are beautiful with many km of walking or biking trails. The fitness centre and indoor running track are amazing. There were only two minor problems. Pressure in the shower fluctuated at times and we did not appreciate weed killer being sprayed around the pool while we were using it. It is definitely a place we will visit again.

Antipasti and Sharing Boards were sizable. Pizza Funghi was excellent as was the Gnocchi. Tagliatelle with truffles was particularly savory. Some of the dishes cater to exotic tastes (pecorino, wild boar), not the average diner. The mains (Piatto Forte) tend to be on the expensive side. On a Saturday night, street parking can be far away, but it is free.

Ted and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you have done for us before, during and until the very end of our Wedding Day.
When we signed with The Manor, we had no idea how diligent and caring a venue could be and it truly showed.
I was continuously praising The Manor during our planning process with regards to how responsive and detailed everyone was. With no surprise, even on our Wedding Day, the service SURPASSED our expectations: the level of organization, attentiveness and professionalism (from coordinators to bar tenders to servers) - all our guests were super impressed.

Thank you SO much for helping us bring our dream wedding to life. We are so happy we went with The Manor and we have NOTHING negative to say.

Paper Crane

Reviewed By EBG2000 - Toronto, Canada

Our family is extremely picky when it comes to sushi / sashimi.
Paper Crane does not fail to satisfy. First time for dinner after many have recommended it highly.
Situated in a quaint "old village" environment, Paper Crane is a jewel.
All dishes are beautifully presented with very fresh ingredients. Have some very fresh items that many sushi restaurants don't carry (such as Uni, Fatty Tuna Belly). Anything that is not 100 percent perfect, the staff will tell you and give you an option of an alternate. Restaurant is quite compact but very tidy with a warm and friendly staff. Very reasonable pricing and very attentive to the patrons. It looks like a place frequented by many loyal customers as the staff knew many of those that came in. Reservations way in advance recommended as it gets very busy especially weekends. Ample parking on street and in the back of the building. Very enjoyable!

Pathways to Perennials

Reviewed By SammieMiche - Toronto, Canada

Called Pathways to Perennials - I'd call it pathways to haven. This is one of the places you go and walk away with a great feeling. The moment we arrived, we felt we were transported to a faraway place.
Beautiful landscape and setting. The café itself is set in a cozy, environment with beautiful landscaped décor of flowers and shrubs. It has a little pond in the centre, the few tables there were all different. In one corner are some small round purple tables, then there's a bigger table by the pond, there are big straw umbrella like decors.here also have a store selling jams and other garden related knick knacks.
The food, reasonably priced, especially the 3 course prix fixed menu for $22.50 only! What a deal it was. It came with choice of soup or salad. The soup of the day was Squash soup and was it good. It had speckles of what looked like red peppercorns which added a crunch to the soup. Entrée was choice of Pickerel with BC Oyster sauce or omelette. The pickerel was a good sized portion that came with veggies. One can taste the freshness, I'd have liked a little more spice to it. The omelet looked good too and came with a piece of toast with jams and chutneys, I think.
Dessert was between hazelnut chocolate cake or poached pear both served with ice cream, great for a hot day. Don't usually like poached peaches or poached fruits, but I tried some and I wouldn't mind trying that again. The chocolate hazelnut cake was light enough and not very sweet. Good cake.
By the way, this place serves lunch only till 3pm and closes in the Fall.
After lunch we took a walk in the huge garden, where wedding parties are held.
This place had everything, good food, great price and lovely surroundings. Definitely worth the drive there.

Pine Farms Orchard

I've now been here several times and i have tried other cafes in the area. This wins hands down.
Large menu selection, cosy interior small patio under the trees for alfresco lunch/snacks. Fresh ingredients, delicious soups, paninis, sandwiches, multiple salads...
Home made pies etc to buy and take home to cook.
Home decor at reasonable to a little high in price depending on what you see.
The only downside is the deck to eat on only has 3 or 4 small tables but inside there is room to seat many... can get busy if they have groups in (or are hosting a local groups meeting) so do reserve a table to avoid disappointment.
This place is a gem!

Posto Panino

Went for lunch with a friend. Ordered the veal Sandwich, sauce was skimpy and too oily. Not the worst veal Sandwich I've had, but far from the best. Rice balls were good, sauce that accompanied those was better. Service was sloooooowww, and that was do to the server simply not paying attention. Place was empty except for one other table of 2. He was too busy sitting at the bar fiddling with his phone. I doubt I will return. $40 for 2 veal sandwiches, 3 rice balls and 2 ginger ales. Next time I will just go to an Italian bakery. It will be cheaper, faster, and likely better quality.
