Since fish comes from the pond by the restaurant and is prepared there right after catching, it's truly fresh and tasty. Menu has a lot variety for lighter and healthier options too, which is a nice change. The building, garden and the whole set up is beautiful and it's a lot more than just a place to eat, because you can catch your own fish and feed ducks.

Went with my hurband, four adult children and 80 year old grandparents to have a steak and celebrate wedding aniversary day. There were only persons eating their meals before us. One couple came after us. The waitress did not pay any attention that we eight people were sitting there, no hellos..no menus, just a bad eye to us. The couple which came after us got the menus and were wellcomed. How is it possible, that a restaurant can afford this kind of loss of business? After 25 min sitting we choose to get out of this unpolite restautant. Can't recomment to anyone this place.

A great location and chilled out set up. Chèvre salad was huge and very tasty. I loved the beanbags and the sunny patio. They served fantastic drinks too ;)

The restaurant and pub looks very inviting and is also recommended as one of the best in Kalajoki so we went to try it out.
We ordered our food and drinks, the drinks arrived immediately. I had a local beer which was good and my companion had a glass of red wine which unfortunately was almost warm.
After 1 hour of waiting for our food the waiter came to notify us that they were out of portobello mushrooms!! We said ok whatever you have is fine but please just serve us some food soon!
It took literally 1.5 hours to get our dish!! Quality of food was ok, although the "seasonal vegetables" were basically green, red and yellow peppers...oh and there was a portobello so I guess they found one somewhere.
I ordered a glass of red wine from another type of wine myself and also that wine was warm.
The place has potential but they need to work on crucial points such as serving time and drink temperatures. The organization of the kitchen or kitchen staff needs to improve!

in the main building is bouth a resturang and a cafe, there is also a small shop, local made things and food.
the building is worth a visit, old timberhouse. on second floor a conference area and also often some kind of exibition.
on the walls in cafe and resturang is paintings who most of them are for sale.
Food is good and you dont need to leave hungry.

Kalajoki is known for its beach and almost all bars and restaurants are in that region. In City Centre is not that much to do or see, so this place was a nice surprise to see. From outside it's not too fancy(although little terrace), but interior is stylish and you can see that this place is quite new. They are Winebar, but in a small city/town like Kalajoki, you have to serve something else too. So we went to have some coffee and Sandwich for breakfast and they also have salads and soups for lunch.

Inside of Spa Hotel Sani, is this restaurant, which also has some tables outside. Menu is "safe"(burgers, ribs etc.)which is understandble because there are lots of families. My Chicken with Goat Cheese was OK, but nothing special. Service was friendly, but little bit slow. Good location near sea and many other attractions in Kalajoki.

Large very old wooden cottage/house next to popular Sandy Kelt Restaurant. They are focusing almost only to Whitefish, that they get from local fishermen. Inside it's like Museum that shows how people lived in 19th Century. Owner was friendly and told us about their history, while his wife took us plate full of fresh, smoky Whitefish. So worth of visit, if you like seafood.

Large Camping Area next to beautiful beach is one of the most popular in Finland. And Surffari Restaurant is right in the middle of the area. So full of families and if it's sunny, Terrace full of people having drinks, pizzas, burgers. Because of it's location, it's easy to drop by in your shorts and sandals after day in the beach. Safe menu, overpriced beer, but overall nice summer restaurant and worth of stop.
