Hongcheon (Hongcheon-gun) is a county and city in Gangwon Province, South Korea. The city lies on the northern bank of the Hongcheon River, southeast of Chuncheon. There r many noodle places but this one hits the spot in the area. Famous and well known to all..even celebrities... if ure staying at a pension in the area, this is a must stop...no chairs so sitting on the floor may hurt ur back...

There are some places in this world, that after you visit once, you can't help but promise yourself you'll visit again, this lifetime or the next. This is one of those magical places.
A very well known, popular BBQ restaurant in the middle of nowhere, the restaurant, which specializes in Pork BBQ, is out of this world. Words simply don't do this justice. Just go.

콩나물 해장국 먹었는데 맛났어요..
가격은 조금 있는데 그만한 값어치를 하더군요.

It's the famous Korean pork belly (samgyupsal), but with a secret sweet and spicy seasoning. It's so good I couldn't stop eating. Have the meat with the complimentary salad, and its vinegary taste will blend with the seasoning to form something even better. If you still want something spicy, have a bowl of makguksoo (cold buckwheat noodles) afterwards. It'll wash down the meat nicely.
The uncooked, seasoned meat can also be ordered to go, so you can grill them yourself at home!

We wanted a nice Chinese tea and found this place close to our hotel, located in the first floor of the building. We were suprised, they do not only have a big variety of tea, they also have nice sweets and other things to eat for lunch or dinner. A very nice place. The tea and the sweets were excellent.
