Zesta Tea Cup

Reviewed By Hiranya G - Colombo, Sri Lanka

This place, which has been refurbished very recently, is ideal to break your journey from Colombo to Nuwara Eliya if you are travelling from Avissawella side. The restaurant serves very good tea and we also had a very tasty piece of chocolate cake. The toilets are very clean.

Tea Hills Restaurant

Specialized in Sri Lankan traditional cuisine with most of our own organic products

We had got off the train at Hatton on Christmas Eve and had three or four hours to pass at lunchtime before our transport arrived. We took a few minutes drive in a tuk tuk to Tea Hills. They had a skeleton staff having given most of the staff a Christmas break but insisted we stayed, as their only customers, for an absolutely beautiful Sri Lanka curry. They even threw in a couple of delicious desserts free. Extremely tasty. Extremely good value. We couldn’t recommend their welcome more. Thank you Tea Hills team!

Railway Lodge Restaurant

The Railway Lodge restaurant is the newest addition to Hatton town with a twist of a colonial touch to it.

Reviewed By Natalieison - London, United Kingdom

A very stylish and contemporary restaurant with excellent food to match. The restaurant owner has a collection of curiosities that we looked around whilst the food was being prepared. The food was fresh, delicious and very reasonably priced.
The staff provided the best customer service and I appreciated that the male staff checked with me that I was enjoying the food and also talked to me about my holiday. Many times in other places the conversations have only been directed at my boyfriend.
As it is a new place the manager showed us the brand new hotel upstairs which looks fabulous and we would love to stay there too.
Highly recommended.
