We´ve visited Rügen in winter, when many restaurants are closed. This made it more difficult than usual to find a restaurant that offers at least basic vegetarian options (more than just a regular salad) at the German coast of the Baltic Sea.
At Caprice there is vegetable platter on offer plus a couple vegetarian appetizers like deep-fried mushrooms. Additionally, they offer a selection of fishes and meats.
Everything was plentiful. The waiter even warned us, that we shouldn´t order to much and offered to put some of our orders on hold until we saw the size of the servings. That was good advice: we would have ordered too much.
There is small selection of affordable wines on the menu.
Our waiter was quick, friendly and attentive (which wasn´t too difficult, since there were only 6 customers that night: low season!)
The furniture isn´t very stylish: 80ies plush...

They have a nice bar there, which is why we went in -- we are "eat at the bar" people. But the staff quickly made it clear there was no Seating at the bar. No worries. THey seated us at a nice table, we were quickly served carafes of nice weiss wine and we shared a Lachsfilet with cauliflower and kartoffelen. All in a nice sauce. Price was fine. Loved it -- would go back!

It is normal restaurant with normal day to day food. Service is very kind and helpful what makes pleasant athmosphere. Herring is very delicious but the wines are aweful (almost no wine). I would recommend this place everyone who wants to try local specialities.

It´s not the cheapest restaurant, but average in the area. Not average by food, because it´s excellent!
We had a steak and a fish, both was big, tasty and fresh. They do not fear of combinations (fish, spinach, pineapple, potatoe with sour cream. Delishious!
Service is average, not very smiling and communicative, but nothing bad.
In general? We recommend this place if you want to eat well.

My husband and I recently spent a weekend in Ruegen and decided to find a great restaurant close to this other touristy wine bar we stopped in while riding our rental bikes around town. Using the Near to Me feature on Trip Advisor, I discovered La Stanza was very highly rated. As it was only 5:00 in the afternoon, we decided that maybe we could get lucky with a table here without a reservation. We are so glad we did.
Our server was very friendly and helpful in recommending wines and antipasti. We shared some wine, a limoncello spritzer, and a plate of antipasti (cheese, prosciutto, salami, vegetables, etc.) and were blown away by how fresh and rich everything tasted. Some of the cheese was the best I've ever had. Although the appetizers probably would have been enough food on their own, we split a panini with cheese, tomato, arugula, and salami. It was fresh, warm, and delicious- probably the best panini I've ever had.
I can definitely see why people like this place. If we are ever back in the area, we will make Reservations and try this place again. It's definitely worth it, and not too pricy considering the quality and large portion size provided.

Impatient and unfriendly waitress. Talked over me when I tried to explain what I wanted. Said that we should expect to wait a long time. When she realised that she didn't have the cake we ordered she asked us to leave without giving us another option because 'other people are waiting for a table'. Can't comment on the food - didn't get to try it.

wurde uns zumindest als geheimtip empfohlen - und es hat sich gelohnt!
unbedingt die tolle fischsuppe probieren!!!
ansonsten hat die karte kaltes und warmes, fisch und fleisch und vegetarisches, kleines und großes zu bieten - wobei die kleinigkeiten nicht klein sind und von einer großen - also riesigen - portion auch zwei satt werden können ... und es ist nicht alles bayrisch :)

Small and cosy place with a naval touch. Not too many tables, very busy even in off season therefore a reservation is highly recommended.
Very friendly welcome by the owner couple who obviously love their job with passion.
Now for the food:
Appetizer was very tasty and well crafted.
Homemade soup was with a lot of ingredients and very well seasoned. Highly recommended!
Main courses - fish or meat - were both excellent and the sides were very tasty too. The host shows the product before preparing it to you, which proves the quality of fish and meat.
I can only recommend this place - go there when you are in the area!
