The service was excellent, even though the pub was busy. Soup with brown bread and dessert,Chocolate guinness cake were excellent. However the main courses were somewhat disappointing, the mackerel was just from a packet, just on a plate with loads of peas from frozen and the potatoes were just awful, small and unappetising looking. I expected at the least, fresh fish and good quality vegetables.very disappointing. The burger was from frozen slush, not fresh meat.

Excellent fish and chips, great seafood chowder and massive portions. Do not expect fine dining here. The service was slightly chaotic, lots of staff but seemed to be flapping about a table of ten that had just come in before us....we had starters and main course x3...food was tasty,if a little overpriced. My gripe is that we asked for a jug of tap water, which came warm,...and then they charged €4.50 on the bill for it. No problem paying for water but if you are charging then a bit of ice and maybe lemon would be nice. Didn't realise I was charged for it until we got home or I would have said it to the staff then.

Right in the center of town is a lovely little pub that knows how to handle food. It's a popular spot that will fill up with diners. They are careful with the food and include a interesting variety of craft beer. The server was friendly and made the meal enjoyable.
