Visited the place for lunch. Had cheese spring rolls and vegetarian fried noodles both were yum.. and Shirley's temple was decent. Good ambience and outdoor Seating and prompt service.. not much crowd for lunch time must be busier for dinner.. and they also have an extensive menu for non vegetarian food.

My wife and I stayed in December 2017 in Sugar Beach Resort, for 6 nights. We enjoyed twice Citronella's Cafe in the evening, having huge piece of meat and huge lobsters. Service was absolutely excellent, thanks to the help of Mr Fadi, Assistant Director for Food and Beverage, who did its BEST to make us feel happy and satisfied, he succeeded fully, bravo ! Food was really excellent, location is just perfect and you can enjoy a nice private fire under the palm trees, just in front of the tables located close to the beach side. Do not hesitate to book your table there and to avoid the crowded, dark main restaurant of the Hotel. I will soon add some photos for you to see what I'm talking about.
Enjoy and maybe see you there after renovations which are planned for 4-5 months in 2019.

Had a few average meals here and the service was really slow. We ate here twice and then started eating at the beach bar at the next door hotel where the food was excellent and the service, especially Jeewan, was top drawer......
Tides for us was the main Achilles heel of the hotel.

We had a family dinner a few nights ago at The Beach Shack, although my husband and I enjoyed our meal, the children were severely ill all night after eating the spaghetti bolonaise. Kids menu options also very limited. More suited for adults not families.

I have travelled the world from Europe, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Malaysia and the Middle East being some of the places I have visited. I have tasted many different types of Indian Curries as well as my wife’s and mothers home cooking, but Zub Express curries were absolutely amazing!
Out of the 9 days I stayed in Mauritius me and my family dined in Zub Express for 6 of those nights. Food was delicious and there were many different dishes to choose on the menu. I highly recommend the Mango Lassi and Chicken Tawa curry, you will not be disappointed.
The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and welcoming and best of all it was great value for money. The restaurant is a nice size, very clean and tidy, with a great atmosphere.
Zub express is halal certified restaurant and there is a Masjid on the 2nd level of the restaurant as well as an ablution area.
A must try for any visiting Flic en Flac.

We have just returned from an incredible evening at canne a sucre and experienced a true piece of Mauritian hospitality. May really makes this place special, you feel like old friends from the moment you arrive and the food is fantastic. We arrived in a power cut and sat chatting by candlelight drinking the very strong run punch! If you are in the area you must try this place!

My family and I were in Mauritius in December. We ate dinner here and were very impressed. Food was well presented and really tasty. We ate pasta,prawns and chicken, we all enjoyed. Food not badly priced. Service rather slow though. Closed on mondays

We had samosas, fried noodles with calamari and fried noodles with prawns-everything was delicius. Food was fresh, it was worth to wait few minutes to be prepared. Overall food is much better than in other Flic en Flac restaurants, the owner is also really nice. Will be back for sure!

Nice clean modern restaurant with a good selection of wine in chiller, but the service was terrible only one waiters was any good ( Bhavish ) Want a shame more interested in talking to each other customers seem to be a bother to them a shame could be much better, food was nice. Gave it a go twice wont go back. Owner seem to hide in chiller with the wine on computer!!!
