Food came quickly after we ordered. It tasted okay, I’ve had better Chinese food and worse. The portions were so generous that all four of us took leftovers home. Atmosphere is your typical strip mall suburban restaurant with pretty plain furnishings and some wall decorations in line with the theme of the restaurant. Oh, nice owners too!

A coffee shop with atmosphere (live music events) and killer coffee. My story: I live in Converse, TX and the love of my life was coming from Apple valley, MN to visit. She is fussy about coffee and I contacted Tim and he sent me three pounds. I can tell you the price is well worth the brew. The staff knows their coffee and their recommendations on blends is indicative of an expertise I do not understand but thoroughly enjoy. How much did I like it: I bought 10 gift cards and am giving them to significant people I know love coffee. Visit their Facebook page.

Bourbon Butcher

We've visited here several times. During normal meal hours the place is typically packed which means that people are still loving it. We've only had drinks and a snack but finally had dinner yesterday.
From a drink perspective, the place gets an excellent. They have great cocktails and a selection of hard liquors to keep basically anyone happy. Beer selection is good, too. We've always had great service, too.
For dinner, we sat near the bar and it appeared our waitress was also a bartender. She was prompt and friendly.
I ordered the Brunswick stew. It's AWESOME! It started with a smokey flavor but that fades as you chew. Nummy and filling. The cornbread that came with it was ok - too sweet which I think is done to appeal to more people, but cornbread shouldn't be sweet or cake-like. They do make it themselves which I appreciate.
My husband had the smoked pork chop. He wasn't overly impressed. Kind of chewy and finished with a strong smokey flavor. So smokey that each time he spoke to me it was like I stuck my head inside the smoker. His sides, though, were good - garlic mashed and corn casserole.
He said despite this he'd go back again and I know I loved my stew so I'm in as well.
If or not other reason, they've got me hooked on their old-fashioned!

This is probably the worst Dairy Queen I have ever visited. This review is based on multiple visits so the problems have been occurring for a few years.

1. Don't purchase the Buster Bars. They have one VERY thin ribbon of fudge towards the center with a couple of peanuts. They charge a lot for what is essentially an oversized Dilly Bar. They are like this every time so they must like overcharging customers.

2. They don't offer several DQ promotions. My son wanted the Blizzard Waffle Cone advertised on TV. They have the waffle cones and Blizzards but refused to make one. So I offered to pay for a Blizzard and a Waffle cone if they would combine it. The very polite teenager said that the owner would not allow them to do that.

Not impressed at all!

If I could pick one restaurant to live close to, Farmington Steak House would be it! It isn't fancy, but they give you lots of food at a great price.

You can get a 10oz ribeye with baked potato, salad, and Texas Toast for about $11. Where else are you going to find that? It tastes excellent as well.

Also excellent Gyro's

El Charro

Reviewed By Mark E - Apple Valley

We went to El Charro for lunch today on the recommendation of our neighbor-friends. What a wonderful treat it was. Be sure to go hungry. El Charro is owned-operated by a local family and really does Mexican food right! Our server, Carlos/Charlie, was terrific and had great recommendations for us. We had the Molcajete Guadalajara which was plenty for 2-3 people to share (and take home extras) and there are two other variants of the Guadalajara for us to try in the near future. The bar has a decent variety of tap/bottle beers, wine and, of course, margaritas. Plus, they have a pleasant-looking patio for summer use (alas, too cold and windy today to be eating outside). This place is definitely worth trying out if you like authentic, family-style Mexican fare.

Long Branch Saloon & Eatery

Reviewed By CAChris33 - Lakeville, Minnesota

My wife and I went to the Long Branch for the first time on a Saturday night, expecting this to be a place that was dominated by the bar and loud. It was anything but. The small bar is in the front of the place, but a short walk into the back of the building brings you to the restaurant area. It was quite busy in the restaurant when we got there, so we decided to eat in the bar and watch the games on the multiple TVs. There was music playing, but it was really quiet-- certainly not the weekend atmosphere I was expecting. We had to wait a while for our food because they were short-staffed, but the bartender was awesome and the beer was very cold, so a little wait was no issue. I had a burger, which was pretty good, and my wife had nachos, which were okay. Nothing to write home about-- kind of along the lines of Applebee's. The decor was not impressive, kind of what you might expect in a little Minnesota townie place.

Overall, this was a fine choice. If you want home cooking, this is a decent way to go. For better food, however, I'd go to Farmington Steakhouse down the street, but if you want a drink with your food, this will do well.

This is a great Asian restaurant that cooks to order and has won awards. Their shrimp dishes have large meaty shrimp and they remember our order every time. Friendly staff. It's in a strip mall and the atmosphere is kind of sparce, but it's fun to watch them cook while you wait. If you're in the area and haven't stopped in, do. It's really good, fresh food.

Celts Pub of Farmington

Reviewed By thevinoboy - Rosemount, Minnesota

So...
We went to brunch at Celts Pub in Farmington today (08/07/16). The service was exceptional, the food yummy, and the drinks skillfully made. 4 stars out of 5!
Whilst there, we saw that they had pulltabs with proceeds going to the local charity. We just happen to win a large-ish prize and donate a portion back to the charity. Next thing we hear is the attendant gossiping with other patrons as to the size of the donation relative to the size of the win. These patrons then continued to harangue us as if doing so would shame us into giving more.
We didn't.
One fellow went so far as to insinuate that we'd (in their addled opinion) similarly gratuitize our very pleasant and apologetic-looking server. The bartender made efforts to contain the misbehavers so i give him points for that.
Since neither was related, we took the patrons' behaviour with a grain of salt.
One misgiving we now have it that the gossippy pulltab attendant will communicate our particulars to the patrons.
I doubt they'd try anything but should they, we have greater recourse than they do.
Will we be back? Not likely and may very well stop visiting this otherwise great local business's other locations.
