Turaç'taki akşam yemeği sonrası yorumlara bakarak gittim. Ancak hayal kırıklığına uğradım. Künefe neredeyse yanık geldi. Hizmet ortalama altıydı. Bir daha tercih edeceğimi sanmıyorum.

This is a good place serving typical Turkish food. It seems that a lot of the tours bring people here due to the large size. Unfortunately there is nothing very particular to the region and the prices are high (I'm comparing to Istanbul). Try the stuffed intestine, the lamb shish and the lamacun which are all very nice. It's definitely a safe place to eat in case you are concerned about hygiene.

It is a butcher house that has a restaurant upstairs. Simple and great. Probably the best restaurant in the city. Delicious lamb meat and a special sausage made in loco with cinnamon. Amazing!

My Turkish friends recommended us to go to Yasar Pastanesi and even asked us to read one article in newspaper about this place - said to be the oldest pastanesi in Maras. From many places which serve dondurma / ice cream, Yasar Pastanesi was crowded with people who wanted to enjoy mixed baklava and dondurma. The restaurant is decorated with vintage electronic stuff from 70s :-)
Try the cookies, they are very tasty!
