One of Amsterdam's most remarkable restaurants, situated on the 23rd floor of Hotel Okura Amsterdam, the Ciel Bleu Restaurant has been awarded two Michelin stars and, much like the adjacent Twenty Third Bar, offers a stunning panoramic view of Amsterdam's city centre. This breathtaking vista and the luxurious design, together with the personal hospitality, all combine to create a unique atmosphere. The Ciel Bleu Restaurant's ambitious kitchen staff serve an international cuisine, prepared with seasonal products and characterised by its innovation. The Sommelier's professionalism and close cooperation with Executive Chef and Manager Onno Kokmeijer results in a perfect harmony between wine and food. The Ciel Bleu Restaurant also offers three luxurious private areas: the Starlight Room, the Salon Panoramique, and the Chef's Table in the restaurant's kitchen.
Impeccable service, delicious food with a perfect wine harmonization, beautiful view of the city, unforgettable gastronomic experience. It’s a real two stars Michelin! And more, you guys deserve the third one!
Really worth it came from Brasil and visit you guys.
Muito obrigada! Dank u wel!

Dine in style overlooking the Amstel river at restaurant La Rive. Culinary excellence and extraordinary hospitality makes restaurant La Rive a class of its own. <br>Under the inspired culinary leadership of Chef de Cuisine Roger Rassin, Maitre Ronald Opten and Sommelier Ted Bunnik, every guest is assured of a culinary experience. La Rive is a member of the culinary restaurant association Alliance Gastronomique. The exceptional wine expertise of our three sommeliers in combination with the creativity of our kitchen contribute to a unique and unforgettable dining experience.
What a positive surprise! While I expected an old fashioned, stuffy mediocre restaurant (certainly after the loss of their Michelin star more than a year ago) the opposite was true: the different dishes were of the highest quality, the food refined and traditional and the presentation perfect. Add to that the good service, nice setting and the high-energy, knowledgeable and entertaining sommelier and you have a winner ...
Tip: reserve a table at the window overlooking the canals!

Very small very cosy and very delicious treat for my wifes 40th birthday. Enjoyed everything we ate and drank. Reasonably priced. Booking essential. I had scallops to start and venison main. Fabulous. My wife had scallops and sea bass. Same review. Pre-drinks and a bottle of prosecco. €113 in total. A treat for us but, well worth it. The service matched the food. Top notch. Thank you

Within strolling distance from Theatre Carré there is the stage of Hans Verbeek and Igor Sens, the two culinary artists from restaurant Utrechtsedwarstafel. Their performance is a ballet of wine and food. Indulge yourself with the culinary compositions by Igor the Chef and the wines of Sommelier Hans. An adventurous evening awaits. The concept of Utrechtsedwarstafel is straightforward and easily explained. Igor purchases the freshest produce of the season and subsequently composes fine delicate dishes for a multiple course menu. Just mention the number of courses you wish to eat.For every menu Hans creates the perfect wine arrangement. Every course is accompanied by the right match of wine. However, the arrangements vary with respect to the complexity and quality. The bare essence of Utrechtsedwarstafel is that every course is a fertile marriage of wine and food. Its fruits bear your palate a sheer joy.
Where to begin?
After hours of researching places to eat, my mrs began to plan a trip to this extraordinary restaurant upon Reading its unique secret menu with wine pairing.
Flying from England to Amsterdam for my birthday was the perfect opportunity to try it out! The restaurant is ran to perfection, with a lovely atmosphere from staff and customers. You are never without a glass of the indulgent wine, to compliment each course. Every glass was explained in depth the history of the wine, with a full description of the dish served alongside. Hans (sommelier) and Igor (chef) are combined geniuses. Hans has such passion when telling you about the wine and food that you are served. Each course was perfect, from portion to flavour. Thank you for an amazing experience! Hope to see you again in the not to distant future!

Fabulous meal. No menu ( just blackboard), no prices, no wine list. The owner describes what is available and chooses a wine to suit your preference. 3+ courses plus a glass of wine for $47 euro (ex tip).
I recommend it all but especially the cauliflower risotto ( which isn't a rice risotto ).

After Reading some reviews on TripAdvisor, my girlfriend and I decided to stop by. The hummus and the toppings were incredibly tasty and had amazing flavors. We opted to get one regular bowl and a small one with 3 pitas in total. The prices are really fair compared to the average restaurants’ prices, for fantastic food!
The people who work there were really lovely and helpful. We’ll be back for sure!
Thank you.

Warm surroundings with gondola and skis to add 'alpine atmosphere' ......
Smallish but very tasty menu - a few daily specials (e.g. pumpkin soup, game) to add to the cheese and charcuterie stapels. Nice mid-price mid-quantity range of French wines. We really liked the fondue with mushrooms and charcuterie main course; the trout and pate starters were quite good; the coffee plus small mixed desserts a nice finish. Very friendly service. Portion sizes above average.
There are cheese starters, more cheese than non-cheese main courses (about four fondue and three raclette dishes) and a cheese dessert .... don't come here unless you like cheese !
Pretty full on an early November Wednesday evening - I recommend making a reservation.

Original Stroopwafels is a traditional family business. The Stroopwafels are made according to the authentic Gouda recipe. This stand on the Albert Cuyp market is the last traditional Stroopwafel Bakery in Amsterdam. It's located in front of the Bazar Restaurant.
An absolute must while in Amsterdam. The market is cool, the Stroopwafels are the main attraction. Made fresh, worth the wait.
