I've passed here several times, going in & out of the outlets, but never realized this gem was here before. Locally sourced & seasonal menu, an extensive cocktail list, and great service. Started with Surfboard Calamari (delicious!) and roasted clams, salad for the table, warm bread with a delicious dipping sauce, barely saving room for the Garganelli pasta and deconstructed cannoli for dessert. Great dining experience, I plan to visit again soon!

Wally's Bagels

Wally Bagels has been a staple in our neighborhood for over 30 years. Everything in the place is made fresh daily. Bagels are a large size, salads are delicious, service is pretty quick. Be prepared for the line you will find in the morning. Everyone comes here for their bagels. Prices are average. You wont be disappointed.

Went there the other day for pastries for after Sunday dinner, WOW..everyone in the family loves this place, between the pastries, bread, and cookies, that's why I go there once a month, if I went more often I would be 400 lbs. because i wouldn't stop eating them.

Starbucks

The good or bad thing about Starbucks is that it is the almost the same no matter where you go. This is a good thing if you want consistancy, and not as good if you want something different (because you won't find it as they are all essentially the same). Admittingly some of the larger Starbucks have broader menus, but overall, they are all the same.

Olympic Diner

So I come here on Sunday's after church lets out down the block. Needless to say, it's crowded from the breakfast/brunch/lunch crowd. Always a wait but never too long. It's quite chaotic right in front of the door. Not a good setup, especially when it's raining. The hostess greets with a smile but depending on which one, it seems forced. Tables are clean, but only after customers leave. Never does a bus boy take plates away during the meal. Which is annoying after you complete one course and need room for the next. I have an issue with some of the wait staff... I understand it's busy, but if you can't commit your attention to ALL of your tables, maybe they should hire more help. Never a drink or coffee refill unless flagged down. The last 3 times we were there, we were never checked on...a non English speaking bus boy had to get us utensils and napkins. Some of the waitresses wear very short skirts. More power to ya...but I don't need to see the goods while I'm trying to eat. The prices are high but it's Deer Park, LI! And in my opinion, the food is always fresh and well presented. Keep the chef and distributor! Breakfast ✔ Lunch ✔ Haven't tried dinner yet but will one day. Cream of Turkey soup is my favorite. BLT fresh and delicious. Hash browns have lots of flavor. Eggs are eggs. Fruit always yummy. Lunch specials always good. So basically I go for the food. Oh and 2 times, 2 different servers messed up our check. We were handed someone else's bill, which my elderly father almost paid, God Bless his heart. Good thing I checked it first because it was much larger than ours. Not even an apology, just a "woops". And another time, we were overcharged, by a lot! So please, look over your check. I guess the skirts make up for the brains? We'll be back. For the food.

After arriving early for our reservation to an empty restaurant, we were told to wait as our seating was 5:15. We waited patiently to see at least 25 people come in & sit. We were 9. The host Jeff was not interested in customer service. At 5:15 we approach then he demanded a table for 9. We squeezed into a corner bar table , not a great way to celebrate. As there were empty tables around. Since my granddaughter chose the place for her dinner , I didn’t yell. The food wasn’t great my daughter’s sirloin steak was fatty & my other granddaughter’s order was wrong. But the server was pleasant, sorry she has to work there. I felt the host paid more attention to his friends talking than taking care of customers!! Not going back !!!

These reviews were spot on!! Came here last night with my boyfriend and we were not disappointed! We were seated immediately and out came there hot assorted bread basket with olive oil on the side very yummy! We had a great waitress named Natasha. She was amazing, funny and nice! We are suckers for amazing service and she did not disappoint! For starters we had their mussels in a light cream sauce it was pretty good followed by their Porto Fino pizza pie - prosciutto, red plum sauce, baby arugula and mozz! Delicious!! But It was very soggy as it was a very thin crust. Slight disappointment there but the flavor/taste was spot on! They bring it over on a regular plate which builds moisture=soggy. They would benefit from serving it on metal or wood plating. Probably will order it again and ask for it well done or extra crispy. We were full at this point so we decided to share an entree. Fresh homemade pasta with seafood in this light cream sauce with prosciutto bread crumbs and mushroom!! It was amazing! Too bad we were so full we took most of it to go! We decided to also share a cannoli and had cappuccinos both were delicious. We definitely will be coming back and trying out other selections!
