I grew up in Cold Lake, and some of my favorite memories surrounded this place. My dad built the addition on the left side of the building, and it was always our go-to place for an ice cream cone or a plate of fish and chips.

went to the Sawmill for breakfast. The staff was super polite and very professional. Ordered breakfast of Steak & Eggs with toast & Coffee. The steak was superbly done as well as the rest of the meal. Great Job to the chef in the kitchen.

Picante is in a wonderful location along the lakefront with fantastic views. It is a small sized eatery so be quick to make a reservation. The food is marvelous no matter what you order. The staff are friendly and will assist you with any questions you may have.

The main reason that I love OJ's is not for their [always] delicious, beautifully prepared dishes. It's for the variety of choices! Healthy, light, sweet, saucy, filling, they have so many different types of foods to choose from (including some ethnic options) that it's always a new experience when I go there. The portions are huge, I normally end up taking food home with me, but the only reason I took a star away is because I do find some of their items to be a tad overpriced. Overall, this place is in my top three favorite places to eat in Cold Lake.

I was talked into joining in on our annual "Gals Morning Out" event and they chose this cafe. I thought this was another deep fried diner that would be unable to accommodate allergies. I expected to end up eating a "salad"comprised of iceberg lettuce some tomatoes and a couple of baby carrots.
I was wrong , very very wrong !
It was fantastic food. Well priced, delicious and such a happy surprise! Also had no problem accommodating. Those who do have special food needs as always should call ahead.
You MUST try out this little gem of a cafe.

When visiting Cold Lake, Alberta I stopped at Beantree's for a coffee and dessert. The coffee was fantastic and the decadent chocolate cheese cake I had was amazing. A lovely place to visit. Nice display of local artist's paintings were displayed throughout the restaurant. Staff were very friendly. Although I haven't attended the Beantree's Entertainment line up, I was quite impressed with all the activities that goes on there.

I wanted to love this place so much but unfortunately both times I went I was left dissatisfied.
The food was ok. Not much flavour but they gave large portions. I had the chicken burrito which came with a side of rice and salad. The burrito was bland and the side of rice was ok.
The service was good and the atmosphere is great. I wish this was reflected in their food.
Probably won't visit again.

If you have ever been to Turkey then you will appreciate Mr. Pesen's. His cuisine is very typical Turkish and for myself I particularly like his rice pudding but the rest of the menu is also very good. He is located in the TriCity Mall and you can eat there or Takeout. It is unfortunate that he does not have his own restaurant, I am sure it would be a very popular place to dine.
