I only ate out three times while I was in Neuquén on business but La Toscana was the best restaurant that I visited. The atmosphere in this large restaurant is superb - very classy in fact. I was also impressed by the large selection of different dishes. I opted for the local trout, served up in an iron baking dish with roasted potatoes around the edge. There was a good selection of wine and our group of 20 sampled red wines from Mendoza and from the Neuquén region. This restaurant should not be missed if you want a first class dining experience!

The staff were great.
The wine was wonderful.
The food was some of the best I've ever had.
This is a brilliant restaurant with a great selection of food and a friendly atmosphere.

If you're travelling en route to Bariloche, stay the night in Cipolletti - the perfect place for a relaxing stop-over and go here for lunch or dinner. The pizzas are fantastic and the desserts amazing - the chocolate mousse in particular and the tiramisu came a close second!

We had the pleasure to dine in this cosy restaurant just outside the city center of Neuquén.
The menu changes regularly and has a 3-course menu for 165 Ar$ (february 2014). The menu is really varied and includes a vegetarian option.
The food was delicious and the chef is very friendly. The preparation and presentation shows the chef really cares about the food and his restaurant. Highly recommended!

While in town for business I found out this unexpected restaurant. Although there are several local places for dinner, I choose Le Sud on an impromptu decision which proved right. Al estar ubicado en sector de chacras y un poco alejado de la ruta es un sitio muy tranquilo. Mucho silencio. Solamente ofrecen parrillada y pastas. La comida es muy rica y abundante, ideal para ir en grupo o familias numerosas. Poca variedad de vinos para acompañar la carne. Atención buena, bastante rápida. Como mencionan tienen una granja con algunos animales que aparentan no estar muy bien cuidados.
Precios normales para el tipo de comida. Recomendable.

Nuevamente fuimos a cenar con un par de amigas. El viernes, menú de pasos: entrada, plato principal y postre, medio litro de vino por persona y agua mineral. Unos $400 por cabeza. IMPRESIONANTE el plato de cerdo en envoltura de masa filo; absolutamente exquisito. Muy bien también el ojo de bife con guarnición de papas y hongos. Una sola observación: en la página web figura un menú absolutamente desactualizado. A quien sea el responsable sugerimos no publicar menú, o mantenerlo actualizado.

Este bar tiene una onda muy especial, para ir tanto en familia como con amigos. El ambiente es cálido y la atención muy buena. Tienen mesas adentro y afuera. En verano, las mesas de afuera son ideales para comer algo al paso y tomar cerveza artesanal. La variedad de platos no es mucha, pero es buena. Tienen varias cervezas tiradas. El precio es acorde y se puede pagar con tarjeta. El día que fui a cenar se manejaban con un aparato que ponés en la mesa y cuando la comida está lista suena para que lo retires vos mismo en la barra, sin mozos. Volvería sin lugar a dudas.
