ディナーに行こうと思っていましたが、夜は別の予定が入ったのでランチで行きました。「東京ハヤシライス(辛口)」をいただきました。かなり辛いハヤシライスですが、辛いものも平気な自分には無理なく食べることができました。サラダのドレッシングが美味しいので、また食べに行きます。次回は近くの席で食べていた美味しそうな和風のオムライスをランチでいただきます。

It's a big chain restaurants and we have many saboten in hk as well now but the Shinjuku one has to be the upgrade version. The pork used here and also the veg used here is just a different level of food. So fresh and cook to perfection even for a chain restaurant. Also the service is always nice in Japan!

I patiently queued for a table and was led to the second floor of the restaurant. You have to take off your shoes before you go up the staircase. While waiting my order, I was served a refreshing green tea. The waiters are fast and efficient and can understand English so they can give you suggestions on what soba to order. I had the Soba noodles topped with with shrimp tempura. The price was quite expensive but okay for a first timer like me. You will also get to squat on the floor while eating. Truly a traditional Japanese dining experience.

蕎麦が好きなのでいつも大盛りを頼みますが、こちらの大盛りはまさしくてんこ盛り状態でした。さすがに腹が苦しくなったので女性は大盛りは頼まないほうが良かと思います。深大寺そばを食べましたが味はイマイチでした。同行者が多聞そばを頼んでいましたがそちらは美味しかったです。でも多聞そばは大盛りが出来ません。

I love going to this place for good quality cheap sushi lunch, especially the 1,500 yen 15 piece lunch menu. Fish is fresh and the place was renovated a couple of years back so it's pretty nice and spacious. The only drawback for me is that there are only a few parking spaces which gets filled quite fast.
But overall, this may be the best sushi lunch with great value.

They don’t serve dinner anymore. Food and environment are both awesome , especially the cold soba. In Chinese google search, it’s “玉乃屋”. No English speaking staff, no English menu. It’s better to search the pictures you would like to order and show them.

This is by far the best soba restaurant I've been to in Japan. Every time I visit Tokyo I make sure to save some time for a trip to Chofu to enjoy this place in these great surroundings.
From what I heard, this is the oldest restaurant in the neighbourhood that serves home-made soba noodles. Most of the choices in menu can be served either hot or cold. (I personally prefer hot soup on colder, autum days)
It might get busy on weekends and so the waiting time is longer, but the food quality never stops to amaze me and is totally worth it. If you have a chance, make sure to try the place on weekdays when it's less busy.
Also, if you've never tried soba before, this is the place to do it! It's worth trying the freshly made tempura, which is a little bit more expensive, but you're sure to get one of the best tempura's in Japan.
