Narbona Wine Lodge, naturaleza pura dentro de la ondulada campiña uruguaya. Una bodega, una finca, un restaurant y 5 habitaciones de lujo hacen de este, el lugar ideal para el bienestar de nuestros huéspedes.La bodega es una de las más antiguas del Uruguay. Consta de 15 hectáreas de viña y elabora pocas producciones de alto nivel. A lo largo de estos últimos años la calidad de nuestros vinos ha aumentado por demás a tal punto de haber obtenido el mejor Tannat del 2010. Nuestra finca elabora distintos tipos de lácteos. Yogurt, dulce de leche, conservas, aceite de oliva y quesos finamente elaborados, manteniendo antiguas recetas artesanales.El restaurant es un antiguo almacén de ramos generales que conservo sus estantes y mostrador principal. Hoy en día tiene una capacidad para 50 comensales. Su carta consta de comida campestre, casera, basada en productos regionales, muchos de ellos provistos por nuestra propia huerta.Nuestro Lodge cuenta dos tipos de habitaciones, aunque todas ellas comparten el mismo ambiente y el mismo espíritu. Baños amplios y completamente equipados, sofá de lectura, escritorio, plasma, minibar y una decoración refinada selecciona por su propio dueño.Las suites con vista a los viñedos (120 metros cuadrados) contienen una gran terraza con chimenea y una magnífica vista de los viñedos, especialmente al atardecer.Las nuevas suites (70 metros cuadrados), con vista a la nueva bodega de piedra, rodeada de un patio con olivos, durazneros y vehículos antiguos. La decoración es más moderna, con mucha luz natural y una terraza para sentarse a disfrutar de la tranquilidad del campo. Sin duda, Narbona Wine Lodge es una experiencia única que te trasporta al pasado, con el confort de nuestros tiempos.

We had wonderful food, excellent red wine produced there (pinot noir 2014) and a super relaxing time !? Not cheap (25 usd per a main course) but worth the experience!

Got shown around by the owner (who had good basic English, was very friendly and patient persevering with our very basic Spanish!) Had an amazing time tasting wines, eating cheese and drinking grapa. We can't recommend this place enough. Have done wine tastings in France, New Zealand and South Africa (to name a few) but this place was totally unique and a great experience. Seriously, go here.

This restaurant is behind a gated wall with a security guard and is not open to the general public. If you show up unannounced you will be refused entry by the guard. To get in you have to be a guest at the Four Seasons resort or have the restaurant authorize your entry by calling 4542-9041 to make a reservation. The location is picturesque, on a small cove that serves as harbor for some impressive yachts. The menu consists basically of fast food such as hamburgers, pizza, and steak sandwiches. Excellent wine from the neighboring Narbona estate is served.

We were looking for somewhere to eat on a saturday and the town looked very quiet, so we found this restaurant at a hotel. The food was good but there was just one lady that seemed pleased to be serving us. The others were not so attentive.

This local restaurant is located on the corner of Plaza Indepencia, the main square in Carmelo, Uruguay. The menu is varied offering pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and local dishes like a goat meat Sandwich. The service is friendly, fast and efficient. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large and filling. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner or deliveries to your hotel. I can highly recommend this for hearty meals and plenty of variety to suit all tastes and appetites.

We went to Fangó, just outside Carmelo, twice in two days, and the food was good both days. This is a cool, relaxed restaurant with friendly staff and a nice outside area for sunny days. The menu is relatively simple, but the dishes and drinks are flavorful, and the prices are low. I have eaten better restaurant meals all around the world, but the meals have always been more expensive. The restaurant does not strive towards fancy gourmet, but delivers sturdy food for a really good price. Recommended for anyone passing through the area.
