Canet de Mar (Catalan pronunciation: [kaˈnɛd də ˈmar]) is a municipality in the comarca of the Maresme in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the coast between Arenys de Mar and Sant Pol de Mar. el Corredor and el Montnegre ranges. It is an important tourist centre, but is also known for the cultivation of flowers and strawberries and for having several modernist style buildings. It is served by the main N-II road along the coast, the highway C-32 and by a station on the RENFE railway line.

The first time in st pol de mar...we gi with a local friends and was really really good. Is a local restaurant with the local staff...no too much tourism. The food was incredible...the paella was a real paella..and the servcie was quickly and good...our waitress was like a punk but very friendly with us. Take the sangria near to the beach. So paceful

Very kind owners, who haven't left us starve to death, even if their restaurant was already closed!
We got fantastic service on the Terrace, only by three ( like the party leaders in our country 30 years ago).
My wife was very happy to try some food, which was not eatable for her because of her celiac disease.
It was one of the most positive experiences of our Spanish trip.

EL SHIP is a family run, with great fresh food and a menu of the day Monday to Friday 6.50 euros starter, main, and desert water and bread and at the weekend 8.50. We also serve Tapas, seafood, pizza's and also a British menu. We are right near the beach and is a great place to sit outside with a cold beer or cocktail and we have a happy hour from 4 till 7 every day cocktails 3 euro local pint 2euro's and local mixes also 3euro. so next time you visit Santa Susanna come in and say hello.

I'm possibly missing something here but regularly use trip advisor as a good reference point to gauge the general consensus of eating establishments.. I don't generally offer up too many negative comments and believe that certain establishments may struggle slightly, particularly when the season is drawing to a close however, one thing stuck out.... The food was atrocious, the service was smileless ( new word for your culinary experience dictionary ) and well, generally... Horrible. We were perfectly sober during our visit which probably amplified the experience but would certainly recommend other places within Santa suzanna... Genuinely horrible experience...

A good example of catalan cuisine. The restaurant is specialized on sea food since it is a couple steps from the local fish market. You can see the fishermen boats from the window of the restaurant. The fish is the local fish from the catch of the day. It is well prepared and served. There are some catalan specialities in the menu. It is advisable to try those first. If you are chasing an atmosphere but well prepared food it is one of the best places to eat in the district.

I love this restaurant and the food they serve there!!! We had "filet" and "xurrasco" and "galtes". Excellent choice! For the sarters: "Coca ceba caramelitzada", "braves" I would recommend and come back for sure!!

My husband and I were in Canet de Mar for 4 nights recently, looking for somewhere quiet for a few days of peace and quiet. We asked the owner of the place we were staying for a recommendation for a Restaurant on the first night and he as suggested La Lluna. We stayed in the centre and it took us about 20 minutes to walk there. The first thing we liked was the setting, right on the beach and not too close to lots of other things, making it a lovely place to enjoy a nice romantic meal. From the minute he saw us Manuel (the Waiter) was so welcoming, friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the best meal we had had so far on our Spanish holiday having already been to both Barcelona and Madrid. Overall excellent. In fact it was so nice we decided to go back the next night. This time Manuel was off, but another lovely man (sorry, I didn't get his name) was working in his place. Again we enjoyed another amazing meal in an excellent setting with great service. By this time we had walked around the rest of the town but hadn't really seen anywhere else on the beach which had as good menu and setting, so we went back on our 3rd night. This time both Manuel and the other Waiter were on. On our 2nd night we had asked for chilli oil/sauce (not that there was anything missing from the taste of the food, we just like to spice up our food), they didn't have any. When they delivered our meal on night 3 it came with a bottle of tabasco sauce which 'the boss has just been out to buy for you as you said you wanted it last night'. What amazing and very personal service. Needless to say we went back on night 4. Every night we went the food could not be faulted, the setting was so nice and the service was excellent. After this we went back to Barcelona and can definitely say that this is the nicest food, best service and most perfect setting we experienced on our holiday, we hope to be back!

Absolutely delicious! Weird location though. Difficult to find parking when they're busy. No views. Other than that, great food, service and at great value too!
I'd advise making Reservations in advance if it's weekend or eve of holidays. Nice town to go for a stroll before or after the meal. If you're taking a train from Barcelona, it's very near the Cal d'estrac train station. Short walk.
Highly recommended!

This is a nice restaurant that features cheese based dishes but also other food choices. There was a menu in English as well as a few others as well. We had a nice salad and a rabbit & mushroom dish. Very good. There is plenty of wine to choose from. Prices are reasonable.

Wonderful. Delicious. Charming. First you have to find to find this lovely town 55 minutes north of Barcelona. Then you meet the chief and his youthful wife in the center. Then you enter their charming restaurant and know you made a good decision. Charming. Excellent value. Extraordinary value for an American from DC. Why cannot we have this in the States?

What a little gem in Calella. We visited 3 times during our stay at the Hotel Bon Repos which is opposite. Their steak pie is to die for we had steak pie peas chips and gravy and it was lush. A very popular bar which was full every time you passed so that speaks for itself. Would definitely go there again .
