Food was amazing, the only hard part was choosing what to have! Really good wine list and if you have room for dessert the creme brûlée was the best I've eaten!!

Real discovery in the heart of Bietigheim. The restaurant is lead by two rather young brothers, whereas one is running the Michelin-star-awarded kitchen and the other one is responsible for the wine cellar and service.
Compared to other star-restaurants, the prices for the multi-course dinners are surprisingly low. Even the wines are not as expensive as at similar places.
Except for the little bit unmotivated starter-prawns, all courses where of high quality, presented nicely and tasted delicious.

The only critcism is about the ambiance. The restaurant rooms could use some refurbishment. Decor, walls and so on seem to be left from the time before it was turned into a star-etablissement. The ambiance doesn't fit the sophisticated cuisine at all.
The tableware had some nice details (hollow wood logs...) but it was lacking a persistent concept.
Those things are minor and easily fixable with a little bit of investment.
The potential is definitely high and I hope the Maerz brothers develop their concept even further.

It is winter and we ate inside. You feel like you are in a very old elegent house. They have well prepared it from inside to give you the feeling of comfortability. The waitresses were very friendly and quick to take the orders. Needless to say, typical food from this area, called (schwaebisch), is there. I was with my friends and all dishes were good. Even desserts were special and delicious.

On the River Enz embankments, with a breathtaking view on the legendary Viaduct Bridge.Due to favourable weather conditions, we sat at the riverfront Terrace rather than inside the elegant modern dining room. The restaurant has been recently totally refurbished -not to say reconstructed- and takes much pride in this trendy style atmosphere, and dolby surround with a lounge chill-out music entertaining the guests which has been planned and designed by the owner. But the Terrace is so romantic.
More than delicious was the starter - Tuna Sashimi (very novelle cuisine) and the Carpaccio - we enjoyed with a glass of Mailly well chilled Champagne.
My husband had a delicious wiener schnitzel he’s still raving about while I had the pot-au-feu. We split a creme-brulee dessert as we had never had them. It was delicious with a “delicious surprising” crust (chocolate explosion) and probably my favorite dessert.

I had only half hour between meetings, and walked into the only open restaurant in town. Told the owner I had only half hour and asked him what I could eat in that short time. He gave me an ample list, and brought the dish after a very short time, allowing me to meet my schedule. The dish was simple but prepared with fresh ingredients, well prepared, with a smile. Very good attitude by the owner.

I tried this restaurant with different people, friends, business dinners, and families. I can confidently say, it is more convenient for young friends. With the environment of the restaurant and music, kids or business dinners should check another restaurant. Food and service are OK, no special thing to mention. It is more suitable if you just want to drink something with friends.
