Stopped in to Sizzlers on the way home for breakfast. The café has undergone a cosmetic facelift since my last visit. The full Irish is definitely one of the best. They also give you a large pot of tea with 2 teabags not like most cafes where you get a tiny teapot with one bag which never gives a decent cup of tea. The staff were attentive and friendly.

I spent a few happy days in Ardee recently working with the iconic Ardee Band, one of the finest in the country by the way. Each day I was treated to lunch in Nosh, a local café with an enviable reputation locally. It is always very busy at lunchtime and no wonder. I had, at various times, spaghetti carbonara (the best I have ever had), hamburger and fries and the smoked salmon salad plate. The food was always freshly cooked and elegantly served and was of a very fine quality. This combined with a good ambience and an expert, caring and friendly serving staff makes for a very desirable venue. Well done!

Called into Muldoons on Tuesday with my wife and kids for a quick bite. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming with a lovely fire blazing in the stove. We enjoyed the 'Tuesday Special' which was two 10oz steaks, cooked to order and served with mushrooms, onion rings, choice of potato, sauce on the side and a bottle of wine - exceptional value at €45. The quality of food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and accommodating especially with the kids who ordered a mix match of starters and desserts! A very relaxed and satisfactory meal enjoyed by all the family.

Amazed it took us 12 months to find this place. Whilst not a total fan of Italian, this restaurant has a super menu, a great range of choices for each course. We only had main and sweet, but the little touches like nibbles being supplied whilst waiting for mains and a chocolate with the bill really shows these people want to make a impression.
Mains where good both of our choices served with a salad with a excellent balsamic dressing.
Sweet was totally over the top!
House white wine really good.
Well done "Upstairs" see you again!

We stayed there B&B for a 90th birthday party just out the road recommended by relations of ours.
Brendan behind the bar is ever helpful with bar service then taking our order for breakfast in the morning some man.
The room was more like a hotel room than a B&B
We will be back and @ €29 pp it was a no brainer

Recent visit proved very disappointing. Appetisers were uninteresting and amateur'ish. The main courses were much better but most unusual to see that side orders for vegetables were extra on an early bird menu. Wine menu was very limited . Server was inexperienced however it did not take from her efforts. Would not return
